When dishing on his love life, he admits he is currently dating no one, but had had girlfriends in the past. "I've had girlfriends - nothing really, really serious, but I've had girlfriends. Just kidding - it's not something that's cool for them to do. There was this one girl in Seattle - I didn't even see her - she runs at me, tries to give me a hug and tackles me. Amidst the on-going controversy addressed to Adam Lambert following his provocative performance at the 2009 American Music Awards (AMAs) over the weekend, some "American Idol" alumni break their silence to offer what they have in mind regarding the much-talked gig. Fifth season finalist, Kevin Covais, tells Us Weekly he has no problem with it. "After watching him take risks on Idol, it was about what I expected," Kevin says in a statement. "Despite being a bit risque, I don't feel like it pushed the envelope that much further from what we normally see these days, especially on primetime television. I see no reason why he should be punished by ABC."

Jim Verraros, one of the top 10 finalists in the first season of "Idol", is the other person who offers comment for Adam. Also a gay himself, Jim muses "We need this, and we need him. We need to have him out there - he's a gay pop singer from America. But I am torn - I just don't know if I would have done that kind of performance for my first nationally televised show. I think had he done it at a more intimate club environment, it would have gone over a lot better."
