Tommy Lee Jones Lands 23rd SBIFF's American Riviera Award

Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones is entitled for an honor from Santa Barbara International Film Festival, which will celebrate its 23rd anniversary on January 24-February 3, 2007 in downtown Santa Barbara.

The renowned thespian will be the recipient of American Riviera Award, given to an actor who has had a strong influence on American cinema. Past honorees included fellow Oscar winners Forest Whitaker and Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Jones thereby is the latest Hollywood name to be announced as an award recipient at the upcoming festival. Others already mentioned were Angelina Jolie as the recipient of the Outstanding Performance of the Year Award, Javier Bardem as that of the Montecito Award, and John Travolta as that of the second annual Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film.

Overture Films Presents Mad Money Scratchers

In promoting its upcoming heist comedy "Mad Money", Overture Films as the studio distributing the flick nationwide has collaborated with the California Lottery to partner in creating a movie-themed Scratchers game featuring the movie.

Images of the flick's three leading ladies Katie Holmes, Diane Keaton, and Queen Latifah will be printed on the special-edition tickets, which will be available at over 19,000 Lottery retail locations throughout the U.S. starting late this month. Through the tickets, you can have chance to not only win cash prizes ranging from $10 to $1,000 but also a slew of exciting second chance prizes.

Hot on the heels of the false persistent rumors that Kylie Minogue is embarking on a tour but has been been forced to cancel it due to health concern in relation with the breast cancer she had in 2005, there comes a new report, the reliable one, that the Aussie pop singer has just launched her own social Networking website.

Kylie's new social Networking website, called KylieKonnect, is designed by New Visions Mobile who believe "it is a more mobile and flexible model than social network sites like MySpace and Facebook, already important marketing tools for pop stars."

Ashley Tisdale will on November 13 release the highly-anticipated video trilogy 'There's Something About Ashley' that features music videos of 'He Said, She Said', 'Not Like That', and 'Suddenly'.

We have now acquired the behind the scenes footage which will also be included in the DVD. The clip will give fans the making of 'Headstrong', her debut album that was released in February this year, and a sneak peek at her activities during the tour to support it. Ashley is currently promoting the DVD in malls all across the U.S. with the sponsor from Red by Marc Ecko.

Beowulf World Premiere Hitting Los Angeles

The legendary hero from the Old English poem finally made his first appearance on the theater's screen exclusively as a number of big Hollywood names celebrated the world premiere for "Beowulf" yesterday, November 5, 2007 in Los Angeles, California.

Most of the star-studded cast members were spotted to turn up for the special occasion with director Robert Zemeckis also present, accompanied by his beloved wife Leslie Harter Zemeckis. The pack included Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Crispin Glover, Robin Wright Penn, Alison Lohman, and certainly Angelina Jolie, who brought along her partner Brad Pitt.

E-40 is turning 40 later this month. And talking about 40, it will be big. Yes, E-40 is turning BIG 40. The Bay Area rapper is venturing into new business aside of rapping, scored an endorsement deal to launch his own line of healthy water which also caries the number 40 in its name.

Planning to hold a big bash inside of Caesars Forum Shops at Poetry Nightclub in Las Vegas to mark his forthcoming 40th birthday, on date 15th later this month, E-40 will at the same event unveil his "40 Water" flavor of water/energy drink.

The first video from Lupe Fiasco's upcoming album 'The Cool' has been released. The clip of 'Superstar' featuring Matthew Santos really lives up to its title, flashy and superstar-like.

The video was directed by the famous Hype Williams who recently helmed Jay-Z's 'Blue Magic' video. Red-carpet moments and photographers' flashlights became the main theme of the clip.

Kylie Minogue's Rep Deny Scrapping Tour, Wondering Where It Came From

Kylie Minogue's representatives have cleared off the ambiguity that may result from her statement regarding her tour plan. People from Parlophone have explained that the world tour is not entirely scrapped off and that no doctor have linked her health to the tour.

In a statement, Parlophone said, "We would like to make it clear that the report in today's 'Daily Mail' that Kylie has cancelled a forthcoming tour on doctor's orders is completely false. When asked, Kylie has said on numerous occasions that she loves touring and that she might tour again in the near future. There were and are no dates currently confirmed."

New details on Sheryl Crow's new studio album have surfaced. 'Detours' which is currently recorded in Nashville, will be put on shelves February 5 via A&M/Interscope, featuring a song for her new baby son Wyatt in one of the tracks.

Injecting personal issues in the album, Crow made this album a recording of her ordeal with breast cancer and her break-up with cycling champion, Lance Armstrong. "The songs are very inspired by the last three years of events in my life," Crow said.

Chris Brown Announces Tour Dates With Bow Wow

With his 'Exclusive' album out in the market today (November 6), Chris Brown has fulfilled his promise to announce a joint tour with fellow singer and buddy Bow Wow. The jaunt that is dubbed 'Exclusive Holiday Tour' will begin December 6 in Cincinnati, O.H.

There are 22 dates that have been announced so far, including those in Miami, New York, Las Vegas and Dallas. "It's gonna be crazy - we just giving people a new vibe," Bow Wow told MTV. "I know it's something that the girls, the kids and everybody has been waiting on for so long."
