De Niro Discloses Short Film Competition

Actor Robert De Niro has revealed short film competition with Amazon.com Inc. he named as Tribeca Film Festival. Inviting potential filmmakers on Thursday to enter short films they had produced in a new online contest, De Niro offered $50,000 for the competition winner in purpose of helping finance future movies.

Having been sponsored by American Express Co., Tribeca Film Festival "due date is April 13, so hurry," online retailer Amazon.com Inc. Chief Executive Jeff Bezos said.

Kristin Davis and Steve Martin on Date

Foregoing Sex and the City star Kristin Davis has reportedly found love with a veteran comic almost 20 years older than her, Steve Martin. Britain's Daily Star newspaper reports, both have once spotted enjoying a series of intimate dates and were holding hands at a pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles on Sunday February 27, 2005.

A friend of them even says that Steve has thrown a surprise party for Davis to celebrate her 40th birthday last month. And their other friend additionally says "they have become very close and are ready to let people know they are an item."

Oprah Winfrey's "classic, fun and relaxed" look in her La Perla sweats has earned her a spot on the Vanity Fair best-dressed list for a second year in a row. Seemingly know how to be beautiful and look different, Oprah shares her key to elegance, which she says isn't merely about "wearing beautiful things, but making what you're wearing come alive."

Also on the list again are Sofia Coppola, Kate Moss, Queen Rania of Jordan and actress Sienna Miller. Besides, there are also Jude Law, Andre 3000, newscaster Anderson Cooper, musician Charlie Watts, director Wes Anderson, and George Clooney who also on the list for a second time.

Jared Leto Accused for Sexual Harassment

Actor Jared Leto has been accused by an Irish journalist, Amanda Byram, for an attempt to seduce her during an interview by rubbing his foot up and down her leg. Complaining the star's harassing behavior was offensive and obvious, Amanda who is a good Catholic girl, wont take him up on the offer, instead she asked Jared to stop humping her leg.

Cosby Response on Sexual Assault Case

Instead of accussing back Andrea Constand, whose sexual assault accusation against him has been dropped by Montgomery County District Attorney due to the "insufficient credible and admissible evidence" to support her claims, comedian Bill Cosby tend to apologize her. Doesn't protest his innocence throughout the five-week investigation, Cosby has admitted his improper actions and said sorry to his wife Camille for the distress the allegations caused her.

"Looking back on it, I realize that words and actions can be misinterpreted by another person. But that's all behind me now, and I'm looking only toward a bright future," Cosby said to the American newspaper National Enquirer. Over and above that, though not saying that what he did was wrong, still Cosby deeply sorry to his loving wife and family for the great emotional stress the allegation brought them.

McGraw Rules the 40th Annual CMAs

The 40th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards has been dominated by singer Tim McGraw, who among the annual awards nominees announced on Thursday, receiving nominations in six categories. It is his song in the running for Album of the Year entitled "Live Like You Were Dying," which is a touching song about the changes a man makes in his life after becoming ill, that favorably makes such achievement. While the title track is nominated for Single Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year, McGraw is also be a competitor for Entertainer of the Year and Top Male Vocalist.

The ceremony that will be aired on May 17, 2005 on CBS-TV from the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas also mentions Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss and Gretchen Wilson each of which receives five nominations; and Toby Keith, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban who gathers four nominations apiece. Besides, there are also Brooks & Dunn, Chesney, Keith and Keith Urban who compete for Entertainer of the Year. Among them, there are "Top Male Vocalist" nominees, including Alan Jackson, Chesney, Keith and Urban and there are also Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack and Wilson as "Top Female Vocalist" contenders.

The R&B superstar, Usher, has acquired a minority share in the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, which means he will be part of a new ownership group managing the team and day-to-day operations of the city's 20,000-seat Gund Arena. Have made Gund Arena as his home and often involved with the comunity there, Usher wants to make Cleveland Cavaliers "more of an all-American team."

Holmes, Klein Break Engagement

Katie Homes, 26 and her fiance Chris Klein 25, who both have been linked since 2000 and announced their plans to wed in December 2003, call it quits. A representative for Holmes confirmed to Us Weekly that the couple are no longer dating because they have decided to end the engagement, but are remaining good friends.
