Anna Kendrick Describes Her Role in 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'

In upcoming comedy movie "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World", Anna Kendrick will be seen playing Stacey Pilgrim. Being met at the roundtable interview for another forthcoming movie "Up in the Air", the actress has been willing to explain about her role. "She's Scott [Pilgrim]'s sister. I basically just sort of judge Scott for all his life choices and tell him how to live his life which is fun, but I care about him too," she detailed.

Asked about whether or not there was cool action happened during the shooting for her part, Kendrick shared, "There's one scene. I'm at the theater where Scott fights Matthew Patel and that was really fun." She later claimed her co-star, Michael Cera, who plays Scott will be seen doing a lot of actions in the film, stating "I will tell you right now Michael Cera kicks so much ass in this movie. I mean, everybody does but the bigger shock is to see Michael doing kung fu."

'Uncharted: Drake's Fortune' to Get New Writers

When it was announced in June that Columbia Pictures was developing "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune", a movie based on Sony's hit video game, the studio tapped Kyle Ward to write the script. However, Latino Review recently learned that the scribe has dropped out of the movie project and the studio has approached other potential writers.

Being in talks to fill Ward's abandoned position are Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer. The duo, who wrote the upcoming "Conan" reboot, will likely team up once again to pen the script for the action-adventure movie as the negotiations are underway and they are reportedly close to seal a deal.

Video Premiere: Timbaland's 'Morning After Dark'

Timbaland has debuted a music video in support of his single "Morning After Dark". Directed by Paul "Coy" Allen, the video follows a girl on her way to a party. Several mysterious men were seen following her but whenever they try to hurt her, Timbaland and SoShy come in their way.

Featuring Nelly Furtado and his newly-signed French artist SoShy, "Morning After Dark" is the lead single from Timbaland's "Shock Value 2" which is due for December 8 U.S. release. The powerhouse producer recently spilled the beans on crafting a sequel to the song saying "I have part two to the single too, so it's like a whole little story line to it."

Viggo Mortensen Says His 'The Road' Role Emotionally Demanding

Billed to be the lead star in "The Road", Viggo Mortensen has filmed the movie during the winter and had to reduce his weight. Though playing the character has made him tired physically, the depicter of Aragorn in "Lord of the Rings" trilogy claimed his role was more emotionally demanding. "Yeah. To be honest, that was the hardest part," he told Collider in a recent interview.

"It was harder than the physical part, for me. I mean, I've been in movies where I've had to do physical, you know, whether I was in extreme heat or cold, mountains, horse work, fights, all that," Mortensen explained. "But it's a whole other thing to be naked emotionally in a way that's not just a distraction or a character."

Jose Garces Named 'The Next Iron Chef' Season 2 Winner

The Chairman declared that "The Next Iron Chef" of season 2 is Jose Garces. The executive chef from Philadelphia entered the final battle against chef Jehangir Mehta and came out victorious. His technique in cooking played a huge role in his victory because it triumphed over Mehta's praised creativity.

The secret ingredients of the finale were racks and ribs such as pork baby back, spare, beef short and country. The finalists had to make five dishes that best represent America's melting pot while still being creative. Garces created buffalo rib steak au poivre; Mexican-style braised carnitas taco; Pork loin with herbs; Spanish pizza with beef short ribs; and Baby back ribs with spicy BBQ sauce.

Soon after the 37th Annual American Music Awards was wrapped, several footage showing live performances from its musical guests hit the web. The likes of Rihanna, Lady GaGa, Eminem, Shakira and Adam Lambert were captured entertaining the concertgoers.

Rihanna came onto the stage, delivering two singles "Wait Your Turn" and "Hard" both of which are taken from her November 23 release "Rated R". Her performance was introduced by Ne-Yo, one of the stars who helped her getting the new album done.

Robert Pattinson Signs Up for 'Twilight' TV Series, Not

The report that Robert Pattinson will get a huge deal for starring in the TV version of "Twilight" is dismissed. A representative of Summit Entertainment that distributes the movie has denied that there is any truth to the story.

Over the weekend, a news was quick to spread that Pattinson will get $500 million if he agrees to star in a television series based on "Twilight". The number reportedly will be the biggest contract in Hollywood history with the actor landing as much as $1.5 million per episode.

Shooting of Tom Cruise's 'Knight and Day' Suspended After Bulls Attack

While "Knight & Day" has yet to kick off its principal photography in Cadiz, Spain, the shooting now has been postponed indefinitely following an accident in which bulls escaped from the film's set. "Nothing will be filmed in Cadiz until we have a new plan that guarantees the safety of local residents," a spokesperson for the mayor of the city has stated.

On Sunday, November 22, when the production had been rehearsing, seven bulls roamed loose on the narrow streets of Cadiz for about minutes before they were recaptured on a beach. Asked about the accident, Spanish producer Calle Cruzada claimed he did not know how the bulls managed to escape. According to local police and officials, two women were slightly injured during the stampede.

Video: Jennifer Lopez Takes a Tumble During AMAs Performance

Always the professional on her every on-stage appearance, Jennifer Lopez failed to present a smooth performance at the 2009 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 22 at Nokia Theatre in L.A. when she took a tumble when delivering her single "Louboutins". She, however, managed to get back on her feet and finish her song.

Lopez turned the stage into a scene similar to that of a boxing ring. To match the theme, the songstress had professional ring announcer for boxing and professional wrestling matches Michael Buffer yelling his signature catch phrase, "Let's get ready to rumble!" while she herself and her backing dancers also dressed like boxers. Halfway through the song, Lopez climbed up the backs of her back-up dancers who had bent over to create a staircase.

After several artists including Alicia Keys, Eminem and Timbaland made live performances, Toni Braxton appeared alongside Keri Hilson to announce that Jay-Z has won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Male Artist. When collecting the award, the rapper used that moment to thank Alicia Keys for her support in "Empire State of Mind".

Minutes later, the top honor of the evening was announced by Ryan Seacrest. It's Taylor Swift who was crowned Artist of the Year, pushing aside Kings of Leon, Lady GaGa, Eminem and Michael Jackson.

Brian and Ericka Spared 'Amazing Race' Elimination

This week on "The Amazing Race", the order of team check-in did not change from last week's. Brian and Ericka finished last but fortunately they were spared being sent home. The third non-elimination round happened again in the tenth leg, meaning there will be four teams in the final.

Megan and Cheyne who statistically have been on top of their game, won a trip for two to Lanai, Hawaii after finishing first. Flight Time and Big Easy were the second team to arrive, followed by Sam and Dan. As the fourth and last team to step on the Pit Stop mat, Brian and Ericka would have to perform a Speed Bump next week and fight their way to the top.

Filming of Ministry of Magic Scenes for 'Deathly Hallows' Addressed

In J.K. Rowling's last "Harry Potter" novel, there is a sequence where Harry Potter and his two best friends make a trip to the Ministry of Magic and transform into workers. Recently, Steffan Rhodri who will portray Reg Cattermole in two parts of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" has addressed the shooting of the particular scenes, which will take place at Leavesden Studio starting in December and last for five weeks until February 2010.

In the upcoming films, Rhodri's character is described as a staff from the Magical Maintenance Department and his identity will be borrowed by Ron Weasley. "I basically have to be Ron pretending to be Reg," the actor told Wales Online about his part. "It means I have to kind of impersonate Ron which is quite a challenge."

A source close to the actress tells the publication to have witnessed the alleged lovers "holding hands and making out" during the bash.

"The Twilight Saga's New Moon" beauty and the music star were initially introduced to each other at a Kings of Leon performance and had since embarked on a close relationship. "They were immediately attracted to each other the night they met at [the band's] show in Vancouver," claims the source. At that time, Jared was still engaged to model Alisa Torres, but he and Ashley "kept in touch and finally he ended it with the fiancee to give it a try and now they're in New York together."

2009 AMAs: Beyonce Knowles Is Favorite Soul/R 'n' B Female Artist

Though losing Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist to Taylor Swift at this year's American Music Awards, Beyonce Knowles came victorious in Soul/R 'n' B Music category as she got Favorite Female Artist title which was presented by Kris Allen and Demi Lovato. Like Taylor however, Beyonce was absent from the annual event.

Prior to Beyonce's winning, Keith Urban who was spotted sitting in the front row next to his wife Nicole Kidman grabbed Favorite Country Male Artist. He thanked his wife and their child when accepting the award which was presented by Zac Brown Band.

'Cougar Town' Keeps Airing Despite Courteney Cox's Absence

Courteney Cox is taking a leave from filming her new sitcom "Cougar Town" to attend to a family matter. "We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter," an ABC rep released a statement on Sunday, November 22.

Although what kind of family affair is not disclosed, ABC said that the absence won't affect the show immediately. Cox apparently has shot enough episodes to keep fans entertained until early next year. At least three episodes have been completed and will be aired on November 25, December 9 and January 6, 2010.

'New Moon' Rises on Box Office, Breaks Other Records

After breaking midnight record in its first day screening, "The Twilight Saga's New Moon" has topped the North American box office chart. This weekend, the "Twilight" sequel grossed an estimated $140.7 million domestically, making it the third biggest opening weekend of all time. Internationally, the film earned an approximately $118.1 million from 25 foreign markets.

Still, the amount raked by the second installment of the vampire drama movies from local theaters in the opening weekend was lower than the $158 million bowed by "The Dark Knight" and the $151 million summoned by 2007 "Spider-Man 3". Meanwhile, the third place initially belonged to "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" with $136 million.

Expecting his first child with wife Paula Patton, Robin Thicke has confirmed on Saturday, November 21, that he and Paula have chosen names for their upcoming baby. "We like Julian if it's a boy and Isabella if it's a girl," the singer told People while fulfilling his hosting duty at The Bank nightclub in Las Vegas.

The R 'n' B performer went on speaking of Paula's condition. He said, "My wife is good. I'm just trying to make her as comfortable as possible and hopefully nature will take care of the rest and give us a healthy baby."

Two-Minute Promo of 'Lost' Season 6

There is a new promotion of "Lost" season 6 that ABC made two minutes long. Still in the form of bootleg, the footage offers no glimpse of the new season but recap of what happened in the fifth season and after that. Creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse talking about the new season and the cast attending San Diego Comic Con this year are also inclusive.

It was recently announced that the final season will begin airing on February 2 at 9/8c with a recap special that airs an hour prior. The sci-fi series will take regular timeslot on Tuesday nights the following week on February 9. Words are, it will be paired with the first season of "V" at 10/9c.

2009 American Music Awards has just been kicked off and several early winners have been unveiled at the November 22 ceremony. After Janet Jackson performed a medley of her hit singles, Paula Abdul took the stage to announce Black Eyed Peas as Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo or Group.

Presented by Jason Aldean and Kristen Bell, the next award, this time for Favorite Country Band, Duo or Group, was given to Rascal Flatts. They beat Sugarland and Zac Brown Band, winning the category for four years in a row.

This year's annual American Music Awards (AMAs) is on and numerous famous celebrities have been spotted hitting the event's red carpet, some of whom are Selena Gomez, Shakira, and Kelly Clarkson. Besides, there are also Disney actress-singer Demi Lovato, and Keith Urban, who arrives hand in hand with his actress wife Nicole Kidman.

Selena, who will be presenting an award during the ceremony, arrives at Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sunday evening, November 22, wearing a silver Talbot Runhof gathered dress. She matches her dress with a pair of black-colored heels. Her BFF Demi, meanwhile, is photographed donning a pastel dress paired with sparking necklace.
