The Box Office Top 10 Films
February 13, 2006 11:02:12In a weekend with four new wide releases, "The Pink Panther" comes in the front line, leading the box office with an estimated $21.7 million from 3,477 theaters. New Line horror-thriller "Final Destination 3" opens at 2nd place with $20.1 million.
Meanwhile, Universal's big screen adaptation of "Curious George" scores $15.3 million, seizing the 3rd position from "Firewall" which slips one to No. 4 garnering $13.8 million. Last week's champ "When a Stranger Calls" falls to the 5th spot in its second weekend, scores another $10 million for a total of $34.8 million. "Big Momma's House 2" in the meantime has collected another $6.8 million during its third weekend to be at No. 6.

The Box Office Rundown for Feb 3rd Period
February 06, 2006 02:02:53"When a Stranger Calls," which is a remake of the 1979 Columbia Pictures cult horror film, debuts at No. 1 on the box office with an estimated $22 million worth of tickets for the three-day, Friday-to-Sunday period. Last week's champ "Big Momma's House 2" falls to 2nd place with $13.35 million, followed then by the comedy flick "Nanny McPhee" at No. 3 with $9.9 million in ticket sales.
No. 4 is the drama romance "Brokeback Mountain" which scores $5.7 million, ahead of "Hoodwinked" at 5th with $5.3 million. Meanwhile, "Underworld: Evolution" comes at No. 6, scores $5.1 million, while the new release "Something New" is at 7th with $5 million. No. 8 to 10 in succession are "Annapolis," $3.5 million, "Walk the Line," $3.4 million, and "Glory Road," $3 million.

Top Ten Box Office Movies - Week January 28
January 30, 2006 05:01:00This time it's Fox's turn to display wide smile for its "Big Momma's House 2" has managed to secure the top position on U.S Box Office charts, opening at $28 million which surprisingly turns out to be the second best gross ever for January. Taking place behind this comedy flick is "Nanny McPhee" with $14.1 million, followed by the former number one movie, "Underworld: Evolution", on the third rank and the PG-13 entry from Disney, "Annapolis", on the fourth.
The rest from the fifth to tenth rank compiled in order are "Hoodwinked", "Brokeback Mountain", "Glory Road", "Last Holiday", "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", and last but not least, "The Matador" which has amazingly moved up 18 slots from its previous position.
