Rob Marshall's 'Nine' Reveals First Photo From the Set
November 08, 2008 11:11:10Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren and Penelope Cruz have manned the "Nine" stage. In the newly-released image from The Weinstein Company, the three actresses joined by their co-stars, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Kate Hudson and Stacy Ferguson a.k.a. Fergie, are posing as their characters in the Rob Marshall's drama musical.
Brought forward on Friday, November 7, this first photo from "Nine" has been released along with the studio's announcement that the film's principal photography has begun. On its production news, the film is being shot at Shepperton Studios in England, on location in Italy and at Cinecitta Studios in Rome.

The 59th Annual Bambi Awards has been held Thursday November 29th in Duesseldorf, Germany, with Hollywood celebrities ranging from TV actress Eva Longoria to Barbadian singer Rihanna among the attendances.
As of Longoria, the tiny actress was one among the other award winners, being presented with a Bambi gold statue for International TV Series. The award regular, seen sporting a wine-colored strapless dress and some seriously blinging earrings, had her Bambi engraved with her married name, Eva Longoria Parker.

Finally commences the quest to attain its goal in getting an all-star cast for musical project "Nine", The Weinstein Company reportedly is holding talks with the likes of Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz, and Marion Cotillard to get them boarded the cast.
Bardem is learned to have just received offer for the lead role of director Guido Contini while Cruz and Cotillard are in the line to play Contini's mistress Carla and his wife Louisa, respectively.

Receiving the honor with tears in her eyes, Loren said, "Thank you, thank you, I don't know if I deserve it."
Compared Loren to other film divas, like Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich and Marilyn Monroe, governor of the region around Naples, Antonio Bassolino, praised the 70-year-old beauty for her ability in keeping her feet on the ground because she had grown up with "strong values."
