Full Winners of 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards, Nickelback Lead the Pack
June 22, 2009 11:06:57Winners for this year's MuchMusic Video Awards have been announced at a gala ceremony taking place on June 21, and Nickelback walked home with the most kudos. This Canadian rock band received three awards.
Nickelback got Post Production of the Year and MuchLOUD Rock Video of the Year for their "Gotta Be Somebody" video. Moreover, they bagged the top prize, Video of the Year, winning over Danny Fernandes, k-os, Marianas Trench and The Stills.
Video Premiere: Simple Plan's 'Save You'
October 25, 2008 11:10:56Simple Plan support their brand new song "Save You" with a just-debuted music video. Starting with the band's in-studio performance, the music video continues with a capture of Jay Bouvier, the band's vocalist Pierre Bouvier's brother, and guitarist Jeff Stinco's mother Francine Bergeron-Stinco lying on the floor in a dimmed room alongside the other cancer survivors.
With a scene showing the people get off the floor one by one, Pierre screams verses, "If you fall/Stumble down/I'll pick you up off the ground." At the end of the video, the people, making cameo appearances, are revealed. Some of them are Kevin Hearn, Sharon Osbourne, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Video Premiere: Simple Plan's 'Your Love is a Lie'
April 09, 2008 10:04:24Simple Plan have premiered a new music video for "Your Love is a Lie", the band's second single off their self-titled album that was released in February. The clip was directed by the renown Wayne Isham back in March in Los Angeles. The video is also put up on the band's official site.
The clip shows the band's vocalist, Pierre Bouvier, being miserable towards his ex-girlfriend in his apartment room while scenes of the band performing are intertwined. The song is about a man being left by a girl who has found a replacement of him. The lyrics says "...and do you think about me when he touches you?" which is the toned down version of the album's version where the word "touches" is a replacement for "f***s".
Video Premiere: Simple Plan's When I'm Gone'
December 12, 2007 09:12:40Simple Plan's music video that have been highly advertised on MTV days before its release finally hit the net. The video is for 'When I'm Gone', the Canadian band's first single off the new album.
As previously hinted by the band, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is making a cameo in the clip. The band flew to Los Angeles back in November to shoot the video.

October 25, 2007 01:10:40Everybody wants a piece of Danja. The producer that started off as Timbaland's protege is now helping pop punk band Simple Plan in 'When I'm Gone', the first single lifted from the band's upcoming album.
An excerpt of the song was displayed on their official website and will be premiered on radio outlets and via webcast on Monday, October 29. Those pre-ordering the new album (which is yet untitled) on Lala.com will be able to download the song for free.

This year Juno, Canada's music awards, held Sunday April 2nd, 2006 has been dominated by Vancouver crooner Michael Buble. The singer takes four trophies all at once, which among others are for Best Singer, Album, Artist and Pop Album Of The Year for "It's Time".
Other big winners at the prestigious event include Alberta rock band Nickelback, which is nominated for six Junos but only manages to grab two mainly for Best Group and Best Rock Album for "All The Right Reasons." Picks the Juno Fan Choice Award is one of Canada's biggest bands Simple Plan, and the International Album Of The Year prize goes to Black Eyed Peas' for "Monkey Business" and Coldplay for "X&Y".
