Omarion Denies Being Dropped, Speaks on Joining Timbaland
August 21, 2008 02:08:43Former lead singer of boyband B2K, Omarion tells MTV that he signed to Timbaland's Record, Mosley Music Group without any interference from others. He also firmly slams down rumor, claiming that he had been fired by Sony/Columbia Records due to a poor record sale. In an interview, he says, "I asked to be released. A release is different from a drop. When an artist is dropped, usually they haven't brought any revenue to the company. Meanwhile, when asked about B2K, he says that he tries to be more positive but still part of him, despite his forgiveness, admits he has been hurt. "I used to rock with them dudes, and now when I see them, it's not like that," says he as continuing, "If somebody has done something to disrespect you as a man, I feel like I have to protect myself. So now when I see them, after everything that happened, how do I be nice? How do I be cool?"

Hold the No. 2 spot is Akon's "Konvicted" for a second week, taking in another 64,000 units. Following at No. 3 is DAUGHTRY's eponymous album, which bounces from No. 11 with another 56,000 units. Aside from whether it was a good or bad one, the continuous exposure undoubtedly has directed all eyes to gaze fixedly on the funnyman so that it is rather unsurprising indeed to find him seat atop AceShowbiz's Top 100 Celebrity Buzz of November 2006 edition replacing last-month's champ Leonardo Dicaprio who sadly ends up on number sixteen this time.

Apparently, it's still hard indeed to shake off the male domination on AceShowbiz Celebrity Buzz so far as the list's top spot honor once again goes to another Hollywood actor, who, not very surprisingly, turns out to be Leonardo DiCaprio.
Follows the footsteps of previous chart-toppers like Brandon Routh, Channing Tatum, and Johnny Depp, the striking guy's success to claim the rank surely cannot be separated from the hype surrounding his latest vehicle "The Departed" which sees him stunningly portray a cop working as a mole inside a mob syndicate.
