Following Leona on second place is Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" that holds its last week's position. Jordin Sparks featuring Chris Brown's "No Air" also keeps its spot on #3, while Usher's "Love In This Club" feat. Young Jeezy climbed one step to #4 from its previous 5th position. Behind it is Ray J featuring Yung Berg's "Sexy Can I" which also rises up from its 6th position to #5 this week.
Queen Joins Leona Lewis at Mandela's Birthday Concert
May 07, 2008 02:05:33It looks like fans of rock legend Queen will be flooding the Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert after it has been confirmed that the band will be playing there. The rock band are set to perform at the event that will be staged at the Hyde Park in London on June 27.
Along with the rock band, other famous musicians are also set to light up the crowd. The likes of Leona Lewis, cAnnie and Sugarbabes are just a few among other names that have been confirmed to perform on the event. Meanwhile, the show organizers still plan to add more stars for the event. One of the names rumored to be added for the concert is Amy Winehouse, who reportedly was asked by Mandela himself to appear at the concert.

The winner of British reality show X Factor, that also sees Cowell as the judge, sang her #1 hit "Bleeding Love" on the result show on Wednesday, April 23.
While Lewis celebrated her performance, contestant Carly Smithson was cut off the show after receiving the lowest amount of vote on the Andrew Lloyd Webber week. On Tuesday, the Irish singer who lost her chance in the show's season 5 due to visa problem, performed "Jesus Superstar" and even got praised by the acid-tongue Cowell. She was put on the bottom two along with Syesha Mercado who managed to get into the top five along with David Archuleta, David Cook, Brooke White and Jason Castro.

Movie bosses in Hollywood reportedly are eying to gain the right to her single hit "Bleeding Love" as well as two others from her album "Spirit" to be used as movie themes.
"A number of huge offers are on the table for Leona's songs," an industry insider said. "The bids for 'Bleeding Love' are staggering. They are into seven figures. The offers are for major blockbusters - some just around the corner." The source also said that Lewis is considered to be the new Whitney Houston if the deal is through. "This could turn 'Bleeding Love' into the biggest song of the decade - like 'I Will Always Love You'. Last week, Leona became the first British solo female to top the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in 21 years with 'Bleeding Love'," the source added.
'Forgive Me', New Pop/R'n'B Track From Leona Lewis

"Forgive Me" is produced by Akon and has the Pop/R 'n' B vibe that is not the major sound of the original U.K. version. Another track called "Misses Glass" has also been prepared to support the release. It is a piece produced by Madd Scientist and Rock City who was also contacted by Lewis' producer Clive Davis to revamp the album.

Leona Lewis, the winner of the 2006 X Factor contest, has secured a record deal with music mogul Clive Davis. The deal, reportedly worth for £5m ($9.7m), will make it possible for Lewis to release five albums worldwide on the label J Records.
Davis, 74, is the man who discovered singer Whitney Houston and also is the mentor for famous singers Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake. Working with the music expert with Simon Cowell in hand to guide her career, there's no need to doubt Lewis will be an international star.
