Lifetime's upcoming project is called "Nora Roberts' Northern Lights". The network's original movie will star the Grammy-Award winner , Eddie Cibrian from "", and Rosanna Arquette from "Desperately Seeking Susan".

Rimes will play as Meg Galligan, an independent and feisty bush pilot with her own demons. She becomes a love interest of Cibrian's character, Nate Burns, a former Baltimore policeman who starts a new life as a chief of police in Lunacy, Alaska. Meanwhile, Arquette will play as Rimes' mother, Charlene. The film is executive produced by Peter Guber and Stephanie Germain.

No truth to reports that and her dancer husband Dean Sheremet renewed their wedding vows over the weekend. They instead held a three-day festivity to celebrate their seventh wedding anniversary and her 26th birthday.

Rimes actually turned 26 years old on August 28, whereas the wedding anniversary should be in February next year. But the couple decided to celebrate early to take advantage of the warm weather, People reports. Inviting 30 of their closest friends to attend the celebration, Rimes said she and Sheremet aimed the festivity to remember how blessed they are and how excited they "still are about each other" after a seven-year marriage.

In Touch Weekly broke the news, claiming in a report on its site that Rimes and Dean are going to wed again on Saturday, August 30 at the Calistoga Ranch in the Napa Valley, California. The couple have yet confirmed the report and there have yet words on the people who are going to be invited to attend the event.

Off all her previous albums, Rimes decides to get 'personal' on the new one. Aptly titled, "" is an album with all tracks getting either her full writing or part of writing. The first single for example was co-written with her husband Dean Sheremet and Darrell Brown. She said, "We wrote this song as if from my alter ego, a girl who never got out of that small town. Now, all that's left to do is cause a little trouble and have some fun!"

Country singer has been forced to cancel three concerts this week as she is about to undergo surgery for a leg infection, her publicist, Diana Baron, said in a statement Monday July 10th. It is reported that she will need about three or four days to recover.

She suffered a "tear in the tissue" of one of her legs, Baron confirmed while adding "It's a minor surgery, but because of the infection it was urgent that she takes care of it right away".

Taking participation on Pasadena's 117th Rose Parade held on January 2, boldly faced the threatening sky which was about to pour heavy rain when singing her new single, "Something's Gotta Give." Fortunately, everything turned out to run well indeed for the rain did not come down until she finished her performance. "It was fun to brave the storm with them and with all the fans who weren't going to let anything get in the way of their being at the 2006 Rose Parade," she remarked.

Scheduled to sing the National Anthem at the Rose Bowl championship game on January 4, the lovely singer also revealed her delight upon being involved in the event. Country music star LeAnn Rimes won't host the talent competition show "Nashville Star" for the second consecutive week because she is suffering from a broken blood vessel on one of her vocal chords. Doctors mention the injury as a result of a severe bout with viral bronchitis, and they hope the star has "a speedy recovery."

Rimes, who because of the injury has also canceled planned appearances in Texas and Arizona, indeed, hopes to be back in place for the April 26 "Nashville Star" season finale. While she's ailing, another popular country artist, Sara Evans, will fill in as host of the USA Networks series until Rimes gets well and strong enough to host the show.
