Fantasia Barrino Dates a Married Man, Called Home Wrecker
November 19, 2009 02:11:35That Fantasia Barrino is dating a married man and has been called a home wrecker is the latest story brought to public's notice by Star Magazine. The publication reports, the singer and her boyfriend, identified as Antwaun Cook, have lived together at her $1.3 million mansion in Charlotte's ritzy suburb of Piper Glen.
Fantasia, 25, first met Antwaun, 30, back in August while he was working at his T-Mobile store and the two hooked up shortly thereafter. "I'm not going to deny that the word home wrecker is floating around," a friend of the "American Idol" alum testifies.
'American Idol' Season 8 Finale NOT the Lowest Rating

After reports on the show getting the lowest-rating finale throughout the show's history with the exception of the first season, a new number has surfaced to show that the finale on May 20 was not the least-watched.
The eight season drew an estimated 28.84 million viewers, according to preliminary data from Nielsen, when Kris Allen was crowned as the new champion of "American Idol". The number, in fact, is in tie to the season 3 finale when Fantasia Barrino won over Diana DeGarmo in 2004. However, the rating is not expected to stay intact since Nielsen is also factoring on the 7 minutes overrun and the time zone differences.
Jennifer Hudson Almost Giving Up Music After Family Tragedy

"What happened to her was such a tragic thing," Fantasia, who is Jennifer's close friend, says. "I remember her telling me that she didn't even feel like singing. (She had) a hot song and a fresh video but none of that really mattered."
'Idol' Champs Attend 'The American Idol Experience' Gala

All the competition's season winners such as David Cook, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, Fantasia Barrino, Ruben Studdard and Kelly Clarkson took time out to come first hand for the gala.
The event is dubbed "The American Idol Experience", a reference to the new attraction that Disney creates for its visitors. The theme park's newest addition allow people aged 14 and above to experience how it feels like being on the stage which is made as a replica of the one in Hollywood. One can audition, get voted by live audience and come back for a finale that night. The winner will get Dream Ticket that will allow him or her to skip being in line for future audition shows.

About that she openly told Sister 2 Sister magazine, "I couldn't get enough sleep and sometimes onstage, I could taste blood ... every now and then. They (producers) would send me to the hospitals and they would say, 'Well, she's dehydrated; that's what's making her tired.' They would put IVs in me. But it just wasn't enough." Realizing that there might be something wrong with her throat, she eventually checked into a top throat doctor in Los Angeles, who then told her that she had tumor on her throat.

Known as the pioneer in recognizing people of color in film, television, music, and literature, the American National Association for the Advancement of Colored People revealed yesterday, January 9, names and titles included in the nominations for this year's NAACP Image Awards.
Scoring most nods were both musical drama "Dreamgirls" and comedy series "Everybody Hates Chris" as each amazingly landed eight nominations, notably that in the category of Outstanding Motion Picture for the former and that of Outstanding Comedy Series for the latter.

As for her new album, Fantasia has it very special for she's collaborated with her American Idol, Aretha Franklin, for one of its tracks. "She's my idol, and I've always wanted to do something with her," Fantasia said while adding "Actually, she wanted to meet me when I was on the 'Idol' show and I was nervous and I didn't want to meet her, but I'm ready now. I'm better now, and it's an honor and a blessing to get to perform with such an awesome woman. She's a legend."
