Fantasia Barrino Had Tumor on Her Throat, Hurt by Negative Publicity
September 01, 2008 01:09:19Gaining her prominence as the winner of the third season of the television series "American Idol" in 2004, Fantasia Barrino has been invading the world of performing, taking over the Broadway stage. Portraying the critically acclaimed Celie in the musical, "The Color Purple," it is sad to say that she was forced to take hiatus following doctor's diagnosis that she had tumor on her throat.
About that she openly told Sister 2 Sister magazine, "I couldn't get enough sleep and sometimes onstage, I could taste blood ... every now and then. They (producers) would send me to the hospitals and they would say, 'Well, she's dehydrated; that's what's making her tired.' They would put IVs in me. But it just wasn't enough." Realizing that there might be something wrong with her throat, she eventually checked into a top throat doctor in Los Angeles, who then told her that she had tumor on her throat.

Moreover, according to the website, the creative difference that recently emerged between Fantasia and her management is the cause of the break-up.
Unfortunately, neither Fantasia nor her management's representative have released any statements yet regarding the news. Although she has ended her courtship with her management, Fantasia will still be under the umbrella of 19 Recordings and keep on sharing her musical profits with the recording company.
Fantasia Barrino and Rapper Boyfriend Young Dro Engaged to Marry

This just in. American hit TV series "American Idol" has reportedly scheduled the multi-talented Jennifer Lopez to perform on their April 11th show. Report on that matter was first brought to public by Access Hollywood who claimed to have learned on that encounter from reliable sources.
If only the report proven true, J.Lo will then follow in the footsteps of Prince, Mary J. Blige and Shakira, who have all taken to the 'American Idol' stage. Greater than that, Access Hollywood has also learned that Gwen Stefani is slated to perform on "Idol" on March 28th.

Known as the pioneer in recognizing people of color in film, television, music, and literature, the American National Association for the Advancement of Colored People revealed yesterday, January 9, names and titles included in the nominations for this year's NAACP Image Awards.
Scoring most nods were both musical drama "Dreamgirls" and comedy series "Everybody Hates Chris" as each amazingly landed eight nominations, notably that in the category of Outstanding Motion Picture for the former and that of Outstanding Comedy Series for the latter.

While the new American Idols are busy with their "American Idols Live!", the third season Idol Fantasia Barrino is in the recording studio preparing her upcoming LP.
As for her new album, Fantasia has it very special for she's collaborated with her American Idol, Aretha Franklin, for one of its tracks. "She's my idol, and I've always wanted to do something with her," Fantasia said while adding "Actually, she wanted to meet me when I was on the 'Idol' show and I was nervous and I didn't want to meet her, but I'm ready now. I'm better now, and it's an honor and a blessing to get to perform with such an awesome woman. She's a legend."

As principal photography is about to begin this month in New Orleans, the movie which has the working title "Life Is Not a Fairy Tale: the Fantasia Barrino Story," is set to premiere in August later this year.
