On Tuesday evening, June 23, the movie which is the centerpiece of 2009 Los Angeles Film Festival received its red carpet treatment.
While it was not as star-studded as the premiere of the "Transformers" sequel, the special screening still saw the attendance of Hollywood A-listers. Johnny Depp, Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard were among them. The three were also joined by director Michael Mann and cast members, including Stephen Dorff, Giovanni Ribisi, LeeLee Sobieski and Carey Mulligan.

During an interview with MTV in promoting his forthcoming "Public Enemies", the Captain Jack Sparrow in "Pirates of Caribbean" trilogy states that he is willing to take the role of the puzzle-hurling villain.
When asked about the likelihood of him portraying the baddie, the 46-year-old simply says, "If the opportunity came, I'd definitely juggle it." He adds by confessing his admiration to both the character and Frank Gorshin, the actor playing the baddie in the '60s-era TV show. "I always liked the Riddler," he explains. "I always liked Frank Gorshin. Frank Gorshin was brilliant. I always thought he was a great actor."

Three Character Posters of 'Public Enemies' Come Out

Each of the one-sheets takes a close-up look at Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, Marion Cotillard as Billie Frechette and Christian Bale as FBI's top agent Melvin Purvis.
Both of the Dillinger and Purvis' posters see Depp and Bale with gun in their hand. Dillinger's one-sheet displays the bank robber hanging on a car with one hand and handling his gun with the other, while Purvis' exhibits the agent standing vigilant behind a tree. Frechette's poster, on the other hand, exposes the Dillinger's lover wearing fur shawl.
Christian Bale Up for 'Batman 3' No Matter What

In an interview with Total Film, the caped crusade depicter in "The Dark Knight" revealed that he will be back as the superhero character in "Batman 3" even if Nolan is not in because he already has a contract for it.
"I would like it if people say, 'You'll never make a good third movie.' I say, 'OK, let's make a third movie in that case, let's prove them wrong. February 07, 2006 03:02:01There were reports on the street mention that Jake Gyllenhaal is likely to join the cast of the highly anticipated Batman sequel. There, in the as yet untitled project, the actor will reportedly star as district attorney Harvey Dent of Gotham City.
Also reported to join the cast is Paul Bettany who would probably star as Joker. Meanwhile, Christian Bale and Michael Caine also are reported to make a comeback.
Michael Caine's Children & Prestige
October 31, 2005 10:10:45Actor Michael Caine has two more movie projects to complete. The first is sci-fi, drama, adventure "The Children of Men." The flick is set in a near future where mankind has lost the ability to procreate, the world is rocked by the news that the youngest person on earth -- who is 18 years old -- has died. As chaos erupts, a former radical is engaged to be the protector of the most sought after person on the planet -- the last remaining pregnant female.
In "The Children of Men" Caine will play alongside Clive Owen, Julianne Moore and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Whereas, the second one is Disney and Warner Bros.'s "The Prestige," for which he will team up with director Christopher Nolan. In this action drama film Caine will join Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale, who both will play rival magicians in turn-of-the-century London who battle each other for trade secrets. The rivalry is so intense that it turns them into murderers. The title refers to the residue left after a magician's successful trick.
Bale Rescues The "Dawn"
July 22, 2005 10:07:01Christian Bale and Steve Zahn will team up for the sake of "Rescue Dawn." But how? Well, both of them will simply star in the action drama which is directed by and based on Werner Herzog's 1997 documentary, "Little Dieter Needs to Fly." The film will begin shooting in Thailand in mid-August.
It tells the true story of German-born Dieter Dengler, who dreamed of being a pilot and eventually made his way to the United States, where he joined the military during the Vietnam War era. He was shot down over Vietnam and captured. Eventually he organized an escape with a small band of captives. While Bale will play Dengler, Zahn will play an ill-looking and bent POW.
