July 23, 2008 11:07:18Brendan Fraser, star of Universal Pictures' eagerly anticipated summer blockbuster, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor makes a special guest appearance at Universal Studios Hollywood to meet fans and join them for a spin on the popular "Revenge of the Mummy-The Ride" thrill ride roller coaster on Sunday, July 27 at 4:00 p.m.
Flanked by a brigade of marching mummies, Brendan Fraser will greet fans at the "Revenge of the Mummy-The Ride" and entertain their many questions as well as preview a clip of the film. Guests attending the event will also have a chance to win tickets to attend the exclusive red carpet world premiere, which will debut at Universal CityWalk later that day.
The Rock and Brendan Fraser Tapped in 'G.I. Joe'?

Joe: Rise of Cobra" has started its production this February, it seems that the casting have yet to be settled as new casting reports are still coming in. The latest reports came from the action adventure film suggested that the former WWE champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may get a role in the film, whereas Brendan Fraser have been tapped to join the cast.
According to Latino Review, Rock has been offered the role of Hector Delgado, a Navy Seal who is nicknamed Shipwreck, while Fraser has been signed to make a cameo appearance in the film as Gung Ho, the Village People-looking soldier. The site further noted that Rock has yet to make any decision on the offer. Meanwhile, on Fraser's role, it was said that the star of "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" has done shooting for his one scene role. The scene reportedly is taken place at 'The Pit' and it will be showing a training sequence.

January 29, 2008 11:01:41The star of "The Mummy" Brendan Fraser will be honored with the Distinguished Decade of Achievement in Film Award at 2008 ShoWest convention to be held from March 10 to 13 at the Bally's and Paris hotels in Las Vegas. The 39-year-old actor will be presented with the kudo at the closing-awards gala of the film-related event.
On giving the award to Fraser, ShoWest co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser explained that the recently split actor has made many memorable performances. Neuhauser stated, "From his roles in action-packed blockbusters like 'The Mummy,' 'The Mummy Returns' and 'George of the Jungle' to his critically acclaimed roles in such independent films as 'Crash' and 'Gods and Monsters,' Fraser has delivered many inspirational performances over the past decade."

The 39-year-old actor married his long time lover on September 27, 1998 at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles. Together, they have three children, five-year-old Griffin, three-year-old Holden and one-and-a-half-year-old Leland. Prior to the marriage, Fraser and Smith had been dating for about four years.

There's something new on Rob Cohen's official blog of his new project "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." A fourth behind-the-scenes clip has been submitted on it featuring the flick's lead actor Brendan Fraser.
Created by Todd Grossman, the documentary filmmaker for the movie, the clip follows Fraser as he shot a scene during a rainy day in Montreal Canada and the process behind it. Despite the not-so-friendly weather, the actor carried out his task seriously, taking shots of what seemed to be a comedic sequence where he is trying to catch a fish.

Variety has confirmed that the actor has closed a rich deal to return for the third part of the franchise, thereby joining martial arts star Jet Li, who will play a major villain in the project. On the other hand, it is sadly reported that Rachel Weisz, who played Evelyn Carnahan in the previous two installments, has dropped out of talks to reprise the role.

Rick O'Connell will be back onscreen. According to TMZ.com, Brendan Fraser has been signed up to once again play the character following Universal's decision to make "The Mummy 3" of which production is expected to begin early next year.
While plot details of the movie remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that "Smallville" creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are set to pen the script. As for the director, Universal is reported to have made an offer to "Jurassic Park III" helmer Joe Johnston, so the return of Stephen Sommers on the director's seat seems unlikely to happen.

"Inkheart" cast really is compiled fast. Unlike Fraser whose role in the film has been fixed, Bettany is still engaged in talks to play a fire-eating performer named Dustfinger.
Developed under New Line Cinema, the movie will be made based on the Cornelia Funke's fantasy novel which takes a look on the journey of a girl as she tries to save her kidnapped father who has an ability to bring characters from books to life. Adding one more big screen project into his resume, Brendan Fraser has reached a deal to have a starring role in "Inkheart", an adaptation of the Cornelia Funke's best-selling children's novel, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
A production of New Line Cinema, pic will likely to stay true to the book's story which follows the journey of a girl as she tries to save her kidnapped father who has an ability to bring characters from books to life. Fraser will portray the father, Mortimer "Mo" Folchart or known more as Silvertongue under the direction of "The Skeleton Key" helmer Iain Softley. Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire is set to write the adaptation with Funke and Ileen Maisel seating as producers.

Such Canadian famous figures as Pamela Anderson, Paul Shaffer, and humorist Eugene Levy were all there gathering in downtown Toronto on Saturday June 3rd, 2006 to have their names engraved in a Toronto sidewalk as the inductees of Canada's Walk of Fame.
Levy, who was being recognized for his work on the SCTV comedy series as well as the "American Pie" movies and other comedies such as "A Mighty Wind" and "Best in Show," commented "It feels pretty damn good, actually. It's a kick. I was kind of blasé up to today, trying to play it down, but it was pretty exciting."
