Announcing the news was Brown himself during a performance at the Rok nightclub in the New York New York Hotel on Wednesday night, June 3. "I just had a little baby boy!" he told crowd attending the show as being quoted by TMZ. "His name is Cassius ... he was born four days ago."

The show sees seven non-country people competing with each other to become a country music singer. The winner will have a country single produced by John Rich of the Big & Rich duo. However, Brown revealed in an interview with MTV that he is doing the whole album, and that he had pocketed one song called 'The Man'. "It's a pretty nice ballad," Brown said. "(It talks about) everything I've been through in my life."

In a new legal papers filed July 2nd, Brown says "Since Whitney has been awarded sole legal and physical custody of Bobbi Kris, she has attempted to eliminate me from Bobbi Kris' life." He then goes on stating, "I did all I could to see my daughter ... I also paid approximately $10,000 for Whitney and Bobbi Kris to live in a nice hotel while Whitney was going through rehab ... I basically lived out of my car."

The arrest reportedly stemming from the star's failure to show up at an Oct. 2 child support hearing regarding his two children, La Princia and Bobby Jr., with his former girlfriend, Kim Ward of Stoughton, Massachusetts. On that encounter, Ward's lawyer said that Brown paid Ward approximately $11,000 in back payments in October, but still owes child support payments from January, plus late penalties, Ward's attorney fees and constable fees.

Webster Police Chief Timothy J. Bent said that the warrant was for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and an uninsured motor vehicle trailer.
Brown was in town to watch his daughter LaPrincia in a high-school cheerleading tournament that night when a police officer conducted the warrant check revealed the old misdemeanor charges against him.
