Ben Barnes and Michael Copon Eye 'New Moon' Roles
December 16, 2008 02:12:59As soon as Summit Entertainment came out with the official release date of "New Moon", casting reports for the first "Twilight" sequel rushes in. In the latest update of the sequel, MTV News has confirmed that both "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" star Ben Barnes and "The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior" actor Michael Copon are on the run to star in the movie.
27-year-old Barnes reportedly is eyeing to join the vampire drama series as a mind-reading vampire named Aro whose encounter with Edward and Bella in the movie helps to shape their destiny together. Meanwhile, 26-year-old Copon is campaigning to play the new Jacob Black the studio are looking for in replacement of Taylor Lautner.
'Prince Caspian' Star Ben Barnes Talks About 'Narnia'
April 18, 2008 11:04:00The young aspiring English actor Ben Barnes has sat down with ReelzChannel.com to talk about his upcoming movie "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian". In the nearly three minutes video interview, the 26-year-old actor revealed that he has seen the first ten minutes of the highly anticipated adventure fantasy film.
Aside from that he also recalls the time when he came in to do the casting for the titular character. Talking to Jill Simonian of Reelz Channel's TV Show "Dailies", Barnes said that when he came for the audition for the role, he was asked to show his sword skills. Confessing that he is not familiar with the weapon, the depicter of young Dunstan Thorn in "Stardust" revealed that he then swung the sword wildly in the room and knocked down camera while doing that.

After remaining as a mystery for some time, Disney has finally unveiled the identity of the mysterious actor to play the titular role in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian", and it turns out to be English hunk Ben Barnes, known for his role as Dakin in the National Theatre's revival of the Tony award-winning play "The History Boys."
"Ben is a very accomplished young man, he's been getting a lot of good reviews lately for a play that he has on the West End," director Andrew Adamson commented. "He came to us very late in the game and he just blew us away. He's going to be a great addition to the cast. I think he'll really fit in well with the other kids."
