The 'Gone Girl' actor looks surprisingly happy while arriving at the office, supporting a previous report saying that he opts to focus his energy on work while his marriage to J.Lo falls apart.

AceShowbiz - Ben Affleck seemed to be in good spirits during a recent outing in Los Angeles. The "Gone Girl" actor, who has been known for his "resting b***h face," was caught on camera flashing a huge smile as he arrived at his Beverly Hills, California office.
On Thursday, August 8, the 51-year-old walked into work wearing a suit and carrying a large black duffle bag while smiling. The Hollywood hunk, who debuted a new shaved faux-hawk hairstyle earlier this month, looked cheerful that day.
A previous report did mention that Ben opts to focus his energy on work while his marriage to Jennifer Lopez falls apart. "With his latest marriage in shambles and the weight of the world on his shoulders thanks to his responsibilities at his new studio, Artists Equity, Ben has a lot on his plate and clearly doesn't have the time and energy he needs to devote to his closest and longest held friendships," a source told In Touch.
"It's a tough situation that Ben has simply decided to work through and use to help him focus on his next project as director," the source explained, referencing Ben's upcoming movie "RIP". "That's just how Ben deals with adversity now that he's committed to staying sober. He buckles down and he focuses on the work."
The couple's supposed imminent divorce unfortunately has affected Ben's attitude toward his close ones. "That makes him miserable to be around and you have to remember that [Matt Damon] is just as close to Ben's brother, [Casey Affleck], as he is to Ben. Right now you have this dynamic where it's Matt and Casey trying to get Ben out of his funk, and Ben, who is older than both of them, resisting every step of the way," the insider revealed.
"He hates being told what to do, even by people who have known him their entire lives and can be 'real' with him without fear of getting banished from his circle," the informant further elaborated. "Ben also surrounds himself with staff and colleagues who aren't famous, but who have been in his camp for 10 or even 15 years. Among that group, there's been a lot of complaining about Ben's nasty attitude this year."
