AceShowbiz - Wiz Khalifa has left his fans upset over his recent linkup with Ryan Garcia. The "See You Again" hitmaker found himself being labeled "lame" by an online user after the controversial boxer shared a video of the two together.
In the video posted on Instagram, the 36-year-old emcee and the athlete were seen shaking hands at a bar. The two later exchanged contact information to stay in touch before embracing each other, flashing huge smiles.
It looked like Ryan was elated by the meeting. In the caption, he wrote, "Real vibes real time @wizkhalifa. What's the next move, Monaco ?????"
People felt the opposite though. Many came against Wiz knowing the fact that Ryan launched a "racist" rant recently. One person argued, "Wiz Khaikfa is officially a lame for this." Another penned, "Wiz has no code." A third added, "Black people allowing this weirdo to use them as props."
Days earlier, Ryan sparked outrage with his racist rant on X, formerly Twitter. In his Thursday, July 4 posts, he used the n-word, writing, "I love n***as." Not stopping there, he mocked George Floyd's death as he said, "Let's go bring George Floyd back to life and kill that n***a again." He also insulted Mexicans, Muslims, Christians and other groups during Twitter Spaces conversations.
Ryan also claimed that a black man sexually assaulted him, saying, "So a black man r**ed me and it's okay and everyone acts like it never happened." In a separate post, he wrote, "Lil Wayne said I can say the n-word."
Ryan's statements led him to get expelled from the World Boxing Council. "Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization. We reject any form of discrimination," WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman tweeted. "I fear for Ryan well being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse."
