The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and producer is getting his life story told in a unique animated biopic using LEGO bricks in the upcoming film directed by Morgan Neville.

AceShowbiz - Focus Features has unveiled the first trailer for "Piece by Piece", an animated biopic about the life of Pharrell Williams, told entirely through the medium of LEGO animation. The film follows Williams' journey from his humble beginnings to his rise as one of music's most innovative minds.
In the trailer, a LEGO version of Williams pitches the idea for the film to director Morgan Neville, who initially expresses skepticism. However, Williams narrates his life story as it's depicted in LEGO form, creating a captivating blend of animated film and documentary.
The trailer features guest appearances from some of Williams' most iconic collaborators, including Gwen Stefani, Kendrick Lamar, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg, all rendered in LEGO minifigure form. The film will also include new music from Williams.
"Piece by Piece" is directed by Neville, who previously helmed documentaries about Fred Rogers and Anthony Bourdain. In a statement, Neville described the film as "a new type of film" and "a unique cinematic experience."
Williams said that he couldn't have imagined a better partner than Neville to bring his vision to life. "Who would've thought that playing with these toys as a kid would evolve into a movie about my life?" he said. "It's proof that anyone else can do it too."
"Piece by Piece" will hit theaters on October 11. It marks the first LEGO film produced under Universal's new exclusive licensing agreement.
