The MTV personality gets candid about the matter in a new interview, noting that she is a survivor of sexual abuse and that she hadn't 'told her parents about it until recently.'

AceShowbiz - Catelynn Lowell made a very honest confession during the "Teen Mom: The Next Chapter" reunion. While talking about husband Tyler Baltierra's own history of childhood sexual abuse, the "Teen Mom" star revealed that she also experienced similar thing growing up.

"[I was] probably like, 7 or 8 [years old]," the MTV personality told hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa. "That's the first time [I] ever [said] it on camera. I'm 31 and I … never told my parents about it until recently. [I told my dad] and my mom."

Unfortunately, Catelynn said her family didn't take the news very well. "Her response to me was - she said that I sounded dumb as f**k," she recalled her mom's reaction, which Tyler reiterated. "And then she called me on the phone and she was wasted."

Catelynn herself has had a rocky relationship with her mom April. She even divulged that her mom even "got a tattoo of the word 'toxic' on her body for me, because I call her toxic."

As for Tyler, he admitted that he "was holding on to a lot of guilt and shame" following the incident. He also explained that being molested as a child "created this hypersexuality", which resulted in his now-wife getting pregnant "at such a young age."
