AceShowbiz - Lauren Scruggs and Jason Kennedy have welcomed a new addition to their family. When announcing the arrival of their second child together, the "Family's Journey of Hope" author and her husband gave fans the first look at their baby girl.

Making use of Instagram on Friday, October 13, the 35-year-old and her spouse unleashed a photo of the infant lying in the center of a large wooden crib in a nursery while being wrapped up in a blanket. They added a second picture, which showed the little one lying in a hospital incubator shortly after she was born.

"I'm sure your feed could use some good news today - we wanted to share that our angel, Poppy Ford Kennedy, arrived on 10.10 and she's giving all of you a big hug right now," the couple captioned the snaps. They signed off the note by writing, "[a pink heart emoji] ryver, lo, jase & bennie."

The post has since been flooded with gushing comments from many. One in particular was Taylor Lautner, who simply replied, "Love you pops." Morgan Stewart raved, "Wow ford Kennedy is super stronggg." Jason's former E! News co-host Giuliana Rancic exclaimed, "What a blessing. We love her and your family so much."

Lauren confirmed her pregnancy in April. Tagging her spouse, the then-expectant mom shared a video that showed her husband holding up a positive pregnancy test while telling their son, "Peek a boo! You're gonna be a big brother."

Lauren began her caption by writing, "this was a major surprise and the sweetest plot twist." She added, "i cannot wait to watch little ryver be a big brother."

Lauren and Jason tied the knot in December 2014. The pair announced they were expecting their first child together in September 2021 after trying for almost five years.
