The 'Selling Sunset' star says she doesn't think that her baby daddy should pay child support after having more than 10 kids, but her lawyer Neama Rahmani disagrees with her.

AceShowbiz - Bre Tiesi has been schooled by her lawyer after she said that Nick Cannon doesn't need to pay child support because he has so many kids. The real estate agent, who shares son Legendary with the multi-talented star, weighed in on how the law works in the new season 6 of "Selling Sunset".

In a new episode of the Netflix series, she was asked by co-star Amanza Smith if it's true someone doesn't have to pay child support after having 10 children. "That's true," Bre responded as the pair shared cocktails in a picturesque rooftop setting.

"The way it works is like, after 10, the court can basically say he can't afford to pay child support," she claimed. "Or, because he is who he is, they could say, 'We know you can afford X amount...' for each household."

But Bre's lawyer disagrees with Bre. In response to her client's statement, Neama Rahmani told Us Weekly on Friday, May 19, "Bre, you should know better! That is absolutely not true. There's no cap on child support based on the number of children. So, to the extent that Nick Cannon can have babies, he owes child support for those babies under California law."

In an email statement, Neama similarly told Insider, "California law does not place any cap on child support based on the number of children one has. A parent is obligated to pay child support whether the parent has one child or twelve."

Neama further clarified to ET, "I was clarifying that Nick has a legal obligation to pay child support under California law. I didn't address whether the mothers of his children have requested child support or whether Nick has paid it to Bre or others."

In the "Selling Sunset" episode, Bre also stated that Nick "is not my sugar daddy." She said of their relationship, "I take care of myself, and if my son needs something or we need something, I can ask. That's all I have to do. I know he's a good dad. And Nick is not my sugar daddy," she said. "Nick is not my reason that I'm where I'm at -- he's none of these things. It's stupid. I can make crazy money by myself. I can carry my lifestyle, which is not cheap. I can carry my child and my own s**t."

For that part, Neama said she can attest to. "Bre is a successful actress, model and real estate agent. She's been taking care of herself her entire life," the lawyer noted. She added, "I know she has a good relationship with Nick, and he's a good father. I know Nick does well. There's reports that he's making $100 million a year, but a good chunk of that money should go to the mothers of these children for child support."

Nick is father to 12 children, including his son with Bre, Legendary, who was born in June 2022. He also shares 12-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, with ex-wife Mariah Carey, sons Golden Sagon, 6, and Rise Messiah, 7 months, and daughter Powerful Queen, 2, with Brittany Bell, twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, who will turn 2 years old in June, and 6-month-old daughter Beautiful with Abby De La Rosa, and daughter Onyx Ice, 8 months, with LaNisha Cole. In December 2022, he welcomed Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott, one year after losing their son Zen to brain cancer.
