AMAs 2022: Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Morgan Wallen Already Win Big

Harry Styles, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny and BTS are also among early winners that are announced in a special Twitter and Discord audio livestream ahead of the live telecast.

AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift may have popped the champagne tonight. The singer/songwriter already won big at the 2022 American Music Awards, bagging several awards from the categories which winners were announced in non-televised event.

The "Anti-Hero" singer already picked up three trophies, being named Favorite Female Pop Artist, Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album for "Red (Taylor's Version)". She is still up for three awards in the coveted category of Artist of the Year as well as Favorite Music Video and Favorite Pop Album.

Beyonce Knowles was also among early winners, taking home Favorite Female R&B Artist and Favorite R&B Album for "Renaissance". She lost the Favorite Female Pop gong to Taylor, but still goes up against the 30-year-old star in the Artist of the Year and Favorite Pop album categories.

Harry Styles won the Favorite Male Pop Artist title, while Nicki Minaj was voted as Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist. Kendrick Lamar took home the Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist title as well as Favorite Hip-Hop Album for "Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers".

Bad Bunny also won two awards already, for Favorite Male Latin Artist and Favorite Latin Album for "Un Verano Sin Ti". BTS (Bangtan Boys) grabbed Favorite Pop Duo or Group for the fourth year in a row, while Yahritza y Su Esencia was Favorite Latin Duo or Group.

Morgan Wallen was named Favorite Male Country Artist and his song "Wasted on You" was chosen as Favorite Country Song. He expressed his gratitude in a video. "I'm saying thank you for Favorite Country Song, 'Wasted on You'. This has been a special song to me," he said.

"I knew from the minute that we wrote it that it was gonna be one of my favorite songs that I had a part of writing and it ended up being a big success. I'm really proud of it. So, I'm really glad that you guys have related to the song as much as I have," he continued, before thanking his fans for their love and support, "So thank you for taking the time to vote for me. Thank you for always showing me so much love and support. It never goes unnoticed. So thank you."

Sebastian Yatra won Favorite Latin Song for "Dos Oruguitas". Coldplay was voted as Favorite Touring Artist. They tweeted after their win, "Thankyou @AMAs + thankyou everyone who voted."

Elton John also reacted on Twitter after he and Dua Lipa won Collaboration of the Year for "Cold Heart (Pnau remix)". "Thank you @amas, thank you to the fans, and thank you @dualipa !! I can't wait to perform Cold Heart with you later today at Dodger Stadium!!" he said.

Marshmello penned, "Thank you @AMAs and most importantly, all of the fans that voted for me," after being chosen as Favorite Dance/Electronic Artist. Favorite Rock Album winner was "Impera" by Ghost, Favorite Inspirational Artist went to for KING & COUNTRY, Favorite Gospel Artist was given to Tamela Mann, while Austin Butler-starring "Elvis" movie won Favorite Soundtrack.

These winners were announced in a special Twitter and Discord audio livestream ahead of the live telecast, which just kicked off on Sunday night, November 20 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony is hosted by Wayne Brady. Bad Bunny is the most nominated artist overall with eight, while Beyonce and Taylor are the most nominated female artists with six each.
