Wale's Twitter posts defending the 'Kiss Me More' hitmaker arrive after Remy Ma sparked debate for saying that Doja isn't a rapper in a recent episode of 'Drink Champs'.

AceShowbiz - People have been debating whether Doja Cat is a rapper or not despite winning a Grammy. Wale weighed in on the matter, ending the debate once and for all.

In a series of tweets, Wale defended the "Say So" hitmaker. "Doja cat one of the best rappers out male or female alien or otherwise," so he wrote in the blue bird app.

"Anybody that raps for real .. can listen to her raps and can clearly see she is a rapper," he added in a separate tweet. "I'm just now finding out there was a debate …,,I'll just say this I've been doin this thing for a minute now .. when that girl drops somethin on one of these 'rap' beats ?? You gon see."

Vince Staples echoed the sentiment in a reply. "Talk to these n***as Wale," wrote Staples, to which Wale responded, "It do be facts tho."

One of Wale's followers, however, appeared to disagree with his remarks. "Stop callin her a rapper. She is a pop artist," said the person. "Both can be true. My ears work," Wale replied.

Wale's tweets arrived after Remy Ma claimed that Doja isn't a rapper. In a recent episode of "Drink Champs", Remy said of the "Woman" hitmaker, "I don't think she's a rapper."

She went on telling N.O.R.E. a.k.a. Noreaga and DJ EFN, "Let's be clear with that. They put her in the rapper category, I don't think she's a rapper. But she makes dope records, and I think she's dope."

Meanwhile, Doja considered herself a rapper when she was nominated for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the BET Awards. "I'm a rapper!" she told radio host Big Boy in June 2021. "It doesn't matter! And I don’t care what anybody says, you know what I mean? I know who I am."
