AceShowbiz - Britney Spears' ex-husband has nothing but love for her. After the "...Baby One More Time" hitmaker announced that she's expecting her first child with Sam Asghari, Kevin Federline said he "wishes the best" for her pregnancy.
Speaking on behalf of the former backup dancer was his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan. The lawyer told NBC News on Monday, April 11, "He wishes her the best for a happy, healthy pregnancy and congratulates her and Sam Asghari as they plan for the excitement of parenthood together."
Kevin and Britney were married from 2004 to 2007 and share two sons together, 16-year-old Sean Preston and 15-year-old Jayden James. The 44-year-old and the "Oops!...I Did It Again" songstress currently have a 70-30 custody agreement in his favor.
Britney went public with her pregnancy earlier on Monday, days after she subtly revealed that she has secretly tied the knot with Sam. "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back. I thought, 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???' My husband said, 'No you're food pregnant silly !!!' " she wrote in an Instagram post. "So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby."
"4 days later I got a little more food pregnant. It's growing !!! If 2 [babies] are in there … I might just loose it." the 40-year-old pop star continued. She then noted that she "obviously won't be going out as much due to the paps getting their money shot of me."
A number of celebrities have since rushed to the comment section to congratulate Britney. "Congratulations sis!! I'm so excited for you!! Love you!!!" Paris Hilton gushed, while Jenni "JWoww" Farley simply raved, "Congratulations." Andy Cohen, in the meantime, sent out a series of hand-clapping and red heart emojis.
