The Colombian singer has been cast as heartthrob Mariano, the fiance of the main character Mirabel's sister, Isabela.
"Encanto is such a magical movie," Maluma said in a statement. "I'm from Colombia and the story is about a Colombian family. I'm proud to be part of this beautiful story. It means so much to me as I'm very passionate about sharing my country's cultural values and story globally."
The magical movie follows the fortunes of the Madrigal sisters, who are all born with unique gifts - apart from Mirabel.
"Encanto" debuts in theatres on 24 November (21).
It revolves around a woman who discovers her fiance's infidelity moments before they are due to wed during a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York. Determined to go through with the ceremony, she picks a random man from the audience and decides to exchange vows with him instead.
Maluma is cast as the cheating fiance while Wilson will play the man randomly picked by the jilted bride.
"Marry Me" is set to open ahead of the Valentine's Day holiday in 2022.
