AceShowbiz - Ravil Isyanov has died. The actor, best known to fans for playing mobster Anatoli Kirkin on "NCIS: Los Angeles", passed away after losing his lengthy battle with cancer. He was 59 years old.

The "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" actor died at his Los Angeles home on September 29. Confirming his passing was his manager Frederick Levy. In a statement published on Wednesday, October 13, Frederick said, "Even while battling this awful disease, Ravil remained brave and resilient, bringing his best to the set and working up to the very end." He added, "He will be dearly missed."

"Ravil was one of a kind. He was a true gentleman, extremely generous and incredibly talented," Frederick gushed over the late actor. The manager went on to recall, "He knew that his future looked bleak because of the cancer and he let producers know and if they wanted to write him off, they might want to do it, soon."

Frederick continued, "I just thought it was really sweet that they were able to give him a proper send off." Frederick then explained that the Russian-born actor received his cancer diagnosis while working on "NCIS: Los Angeles". He also said that the late actor gave the producers a heads up about his declining health.

Following his death, Tanya Kleckner of HRI Talent, which represented Ravil, expressed her grief in a separate statement. She praised the late star as saying, "[Ravil] was one of kind and a true talent."

Ravil was born in the Soviet Union and developed a passion for the arts and sports as a youngster. After training at the Moscow Art Theater School and working at a theater in Wales, he relocated to Los Angeles to continue his career.

Aside from appearing on "NCIS: Los Angeles" in seasons 4, 7, 9 and 10, Ravil made guest appearances on "The Last Ship", "The Americans" and "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.". He also played Voshkod in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and Viktor Panchenko in "Defiance".

Ravil is survived by his wife Erika, his daughter Gulya and her husband Marios, his granddaughter Cassandra and grandson Nikita, his sister Dina and nephew Sergey, his former wife Marsha, his step-daughter Aneta and her husband Jon as well as his step-granddaughters Mila and Tali.
