AceShowbiz - Nipsey Hussle will be posthumously honored with his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. According to Variety, the late rapper joins 37 celebrities included in the Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2022 who are set to get their own stars at the iconic tourist attraction in Los Angeles.
The Walk of Fame star adds to Nipsey's growing list of posthumous accolades and honors. The hip-hop star, who died on March 31, 2019 after being gunned down outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles, previously received multiple Grammys and the humanitarian award at the 2019 BET Awards.
Also among the honorees, which were announced on Thursday, June 17, are George Clinton, Ashanti, DJ Khaled, Black Eyed Peas and Avril Lavigne. They will be inducted alongside the rap star as part of the Recording category. Carrie Fisher (posthumous), Michael B. Jordan, Regina King, Tessa Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Helen Hunt, Ray Liotta, Salma Hayek and Macaulay Culkin, meanwhile, are hailing from the film category.
As for the TV category, the honorees include Byron Allen, Greg Berlanti, Ricky Gervais, Peter Krause, Bob Odenkirk, Holly Robinson Peete, Norman Reedus, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jean Smart, Ming-Na Wen and Kenan Thompson.
Joining them are Patti LuPone, Marilyn McCoo, Billy Davis Jr. and Angelica Vale as they will be honored as part of performance honorees. Michael Strahan, meanwhile, will be the first honoree from the newest category of sports entertainment category, with Richard Blade being inducted as part of Radio category.

"We can't wait to see each honoree’s reaction as they realize that they are becoming a part of Hollywood's history with the unveiling of their star on the world's most famous walkway!"
