AceShowbiz - Slash has gone ludicrous when poking fun at coronavirus. As the world scrambles to contain the growing spread of COVID-19, the Guns N' Roses guitarist garnered mixed reactions with his bizarre social media post about the pandemic.

On Wednesday, March 11, the 54-year-old rocker re-posted an Instagram photo that displays a man wearing a slimy starfish costume while walking on a street. The picture also depicted other Asians around him, who don medical mask, staring at him with looks of curiosity. "#Repost freulerart Tommy Fung iiii]; )'," his caption read.

Slash's post has since drawn different reactions from other users. Some found his humor offensive with one stating, "Love ya slash but that's inappropriate," and another writing, "Yikes." Many, however, were loving the joke. "At this point Slash is my favorite meme page," one wrote, while another joked, "That's one hell of a sneeze!"

A third user gushed, "This is f***ing hilarious!" A fourth, meanwhile, went as far as advising others to see the positive in the midst of this pandemic. "I think that guying is smiling!! We all must loosen up all over our world," the user noted. "Everyone needs community and compassion to beat off any health related issues."

Slash's post came days after Guns N' Roses announced they will postpone their Costa Rica show because of the coronavirus outbreak. "GNR fam, the Costa Rica show has been postponed due to direction from the government," a statement on their social media page read. "It will be rescheduled for later in the year so hold on to your tickets."

The Lollapalooza Argentina festival, in which the rock band were set to perform, has also been canceled. "Faced with this unprecedented moment, our top priority is preserving the health and security of the public, artists and work teams and heed the preventive measures of government and health authorities," the announcement read. "We will share more information soon on our website and social media."
