The 29-year-old actor/rapper lashes out at Tom's fan who wishes that Chet is the one catching the virus rather than the Oscar-winning actor, prompting the fan to apologize.

AceShowbiz - Tom Hanks is so beloved by many Americans and his fans all over the world that the news of him contracting coronavirus came as a huge shock. One person recently took to Instagram to express her concern, but ended up offending the actor's son Chet Hanks for making an ill-wish on him.

The said user posted on her Instagram Stories, "@coronavirus PLEASE take @chethanx instead we CANNOT lose Tom Hanks." Not taking it as a joke, Chet fired back at the fan via direct message, "F**k you b***h."

The said fan clearly did not mean any harm with her post as she later expressed her regret for upsetting Chet. Sharing a screeshot of Chet's alleged reply to her Story, she wrote over it, "Omg I'm sorry I just really really love Tom hanks. Sending your family healing and love."

Tom Hanks' Son Chet Fires Back at Fan Saying He Should Be Having Coronavirus Instead of His Father

Chet Hanks lashes out at Tom Hanks' fan wishing him sick instead of his father.

Tom announced on Wednesday, March 11 that he and his wife Rita Wilson tested positive for COVID-19 while staying in Australia for the pre-production of Baz Luhrmann's film about Elvis Presley. Explaining their conditions, he shared, "We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers too." Tom added that he and Rita, both 63 years old, are following the country's health protocols and "will be tested observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires."

Chet later took to his own Instagram page to assure fans that his parents "are fine" and "not even that sick" despite being stricken with the illness. "Yea, its true my parents got coronavirus. Crazy," he said in a video, which was released shortly after Tom released his statement. "They're not worried about it. They're not trippin' but they're going through the necessary health precautions obviously." He also implored people to remain calm, saying, "I don't think it's anything to be too worried about."

Colin Hanks, who is Tom's son with his ex-wife Samantha Lewes, also addressed his father's condition on Instagram. "We are so grateful for the outpouring of support from everyone," the former "Fargo" star wrote in a Thursday, March 12 post. "My parents are receiving excellent care in Australia and are doing well (and in good spirits) given the circumstances." He added, "Despite the fact that I'm in LA and haven't seen them in over 3 weeks we have been in constant contact and am confident that they will make a full recovery."

Tom himself has shared an update on his own account, posting a photo of him and Rita from isolation. "@ritawilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else," he wrote in the caption.

He continued, "There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?"

The "Sully" star concluded his message with, "Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball. Hanx," quoting his iconic line from 1992's women's WWII baseball league movie "A League of Their Own".
