AceShowbiz - The 2018 Country Music Association Awards has finally wrapped up its ceremony by honoring Keith Urban as the Entertainer of the Year. This is the "Blue Ain't Your Color" hitmaker's second time winning the category, as he last won the accolade at the annual event back in 2005.
Going completely casual in a dark green T-shirt, Keith said during his acceptance speech that he couldn't believe he won the trophy again after more than a decade since his contenders were strong. Despite that, he was still grateful for the win and thanked his fans and team for their continuous support.
"Thank you so much for the blessing of this. I wish my dad was alive to see this, but I think he's watching over me," he said, as the camera panned to show Nicole Kidman looking incredibly happy to see her husband winning the biggest honor of the night. "I'm just very very blessed, very grateful that I get to do what I do. ...God bless country music."
Earlier in the night, host Carrie Underwood was announced as the winner of Female Vocalist of the Year, beating out Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris and Kacey Musgraves. Meanwhile, Chris Stapleton brought home Male Vocalist of the Year. With that, the "Tennessee Whiskey" singer came out as the biggest winner of the night as he also won Single of the Year and Song of the Year for his single "Broken Halos".
Other musicians who made it to the winner list for this year's event were Mac McAnally and David Lee Murphy. While the former once again won Musician of the Year, the "Dust on the Bottle" singer won Musical Event of the Year for his Kenny Chesney-assisted "Everything's Gonna Be Alright". Thomas Rhett, on the other hand, won Music Video of the Year for "Marry Me".
