AceShowbiz - Stella Maxwell is unfazed by backlash over the upcoming 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
Some of the world's most famous supermodels, including Candice Swanepoel and Gigi Hadid, will take to the runway on Thursday, November 08, for the annual lingerie extravaganza, though brand executives have continued to receive criticism over the apparent lack of diversity displayed on the catwalk and in campaigns.
Bosses at the U.S. label have also been accused of being misogynistic and reducing models to their bodies, but Stella is adamant that criticism is inevitable no matter what you do, which is why she's learned to take negativity on the chin.
"We are all scrutinised," she insisted in an interview for Glamour U.K. "Everyone. Man, woman, everyone, especially if you are in the public eye in any way on social media. It's about doing you and not worrying too much about other things. Only worry about the things that are really worth worrying about."
The 28-year-old has been a Victoria's Secret Angel since 2015, and believes that the experience has "really built up my confidence".
However, she also admitted that her gruelling exercise routine in the lead-up to the show can be challenging.
"It's not always easy," the blonde star sighed. "Honestly, it's become part of my daily lifestyle and I really enjoy it, too. I do a lot of yoga and a lot of training with my personal trainer, and the more you do, the more you get used to working out."
"I think every girl has worked really hard and I think you can see that even just through our Instagrams... We show all the exercise we are doing - and the mental health, too. Exercise is great for your mental health!"
The 2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will air in the U.S. on the ABC network on 2 December.
