The track finds Swae Lee spitting lines about being around negative energy, while Scott raps about a night out with his friends.

AceShowbiz - Expectations for Rae Sremmurd's forthcoming album "SremmLife 3" are getting higher. Following Pharrell Williams-assisted track "Chanel" and "Powerglide" featuring Juicy J, the hip-hop duo released the third single off the effort, "Close" featuring Travis Scott (II), on April 18.

Produced by Mike WiLL Made It, the track kicks off with Swae Lee spitting lines about being around negative energy before Slim Jimmy delivers his verses. Scott, on the other hand, raps about a night out with his friends.

"Somethin' ain't right, dawg, we in too easy/ Been here all night, dawg, really, I'm tweakin', yeah," Scott spits. "Lookin to pipe some, a** in the party, look like a pageant/ If we gon' fight some, beat it and dash it, lawyer do magic."

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Beats 1, Jimmy describes the song as something that gives listeners "an 80s vibe." He adds, "It's the year of the year. It's really the year of the year. We are coming through with mad hits. 30 Roc, he been going dumb for a long time. Mike WiLL been going dumb for a long time. Ear Drummers is just like crazy."

The 26-year-old rapper also confirmed during the interview that a music video for the track would be released soon.

"SremmLife 3", which will include Jimmy and Lee's solo LPs as well as a joint album, will be released on April 27. Besides Scott, Young Thug, The Weeknd, Zoe Kravitz and Future will be featured on the effort.

In support of the album, the Atlanta-based group will embark on a North America tour alongside Donald Glover. The tour will kick off on September 6 in Atlanta and wrap up on September 30 in Vancouver.
