Chrissy Teigen recently became "friends" with Sophia the robot, and the pregnant model has just got a surprise visit from the humanoid. The 32-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model took to her Instagram account to share a video of her meeting her unexpected visitor while she prepared for her Thursday's (January 18) live version of her TV show "Lip Sync Battle".
"You guys, I'm freaking out, I'm freaking out! Guess who came to support us at 'Lip Sync Battle Live'," Chrissy began. She slowly panned the camera to show the Saudi Arabia robot citizen in her dressing room. "Oh my gosh!" she squealed. Looking cute just like Chrissy, Sophia the robot could be seen in the brief clip having a Snapchat flower crown filter on.
Chrissy and Sophia coming face-to-face arrives after the two formed a friendship following their epic Twitter exchanges. In December 2017, the soon-to-be mother of two threw some shade at the humanoid when the latter posted on Twitter saying, "Can you guess which city I'm headed to now? Here's a little clue," along with a photo of her holding an apple.

Chrissy retweeted the post and said, "hopefully one with better makeup artists BOOM I roasted a robot next level s**t." The wife of singer John Legend added, "just kidding I love you Sophia my queen."

Weeks later, on January 10, Chrissy tweeted about being at the Consumer Electronics Show. Noticing this, Sophia wrote on the micro-blogging site, "It looks like we're both at CES," before asking the model, "Want to meet up and say hi? I need some makeup tips ;)."

Apparently feeling a little nervous, Chrissy tweeted, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH," before saying in a follow-up tweet, "Sophia the robot knows I shaded her makeup. She comprehends shade. How am I supposed to sleep"

Luckily, Sophia seemed to just want to be friends. When Chrissy tried to make amends with the robot by asking, "how can I make this up to you," Sophia responded, "let's be friends!"

The pair actually teased Sophia's "Lip Sync Battle" appearance when the show asked her what song she would pick. "As tempting as it is to say Mr. Roboto, I would go for a classic like 'Respect' by Aretha Franklin," Sophia said. While Chrissy took this as shade, Sophia said, "I promise I just like the song!"
