With the multi-million dollar settlement, the global pop star got to keep the flashy, 35-carat diamond engagement ring she got from Packer.

AceShowbiz - Despite not tying the knot, Mariah Carey and her billionaire ex-fiance have reached a settlement following their acrimonious split. The Blast reported that a few months ago, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" singer and Packer struck a deal.

The deal allowed Carey to walk away with $5-$10 million as she claimed she uprooted her life and moved to Los Angeles to be with Packer, to whom Carey got engaged back in January 2016. Carey allegedly aimed for $50 million inconvenient fee, so getting $5-$10 million dollars is considerably less than what she wanted initially.

However, she got to keep the flashy, 35-carat diamond engagement ring she got from Packer. Words were, the huge ring costs less than the $10 million it was previously rumored to be.

The singer was spotted wearing the ring in numerous occasions. Given how stunning the stone is, it's not surprising if Carey refused to be apart with it. "She still has the ring and wears it now on her middle finger," said a source. The source also said that the former couple hasn't been on speaking terms for several months, adding, "They 100 percent have not spoken for a year, maybe even longer than that."

Carey and Packer's romance ended quite badly, and it was right before her reality show "Mariah's World" was set to debut on E!. The show initially was going to follow Carey planning her lavish wedding, which never happened, to James. After the nasty breakup, the producers of the show were forced to alter the show and made it look like a show centering on Carey going flirty with her current boyfriend Bryan Tanaka behind Packer's back.

Rumor had it, they got into an argument aboard a yacht while they were vacationing in Greece. Carey also accused Packer of doing something awful to her assistant during the big fight.

In an October interview, Packer dubbed his relationship with the global diva "a mistake." The billionaire said to Weekend Australia, "I was at a low point in my personal life. She was kind, exciting and fun. Mariah is a woman of substance. But it was a mistake for her and a mistake for me."
