The former 'Charmed' actres and her supporters start a campaign urging Twitter users to shut down their accounts following alleged attempt to silence her voice against Harvey Weinstein.

AceShowbiz - Rose McGowan's Twitter has been reactivated after a brief suspension but her fellow celebrities and her supporters refused to just let the issue go. They were calling women and allies to sign off Twitter all day on Friday, October 13 in response to the social media allegedly trying to mute the actress' voice.

The "Charmed" alum was unable to access her Twitter account amid her strong criticisms towards disgraced movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. The likes of Chrissy Teigen, Mark Ruffalo and Gina Rodriguez have since joined #WomenBoycottTwitter to show their support.

"Ladies. Let's do this. #WomenBoycottTwitter. Not because of hate but because I love this platform and know it can be better," Teigen wrote. Ruffalo posted, "Tomorrow I follow the Women. #WomenBoycottTwitter." Rodriguez tweeted, "I stand with my sisters. I won't be live tweeting the premiere of Jane the Virgin tomorrow. Instead come on over to @instagram I'll do BTS!"

Amber Tamblyn chimed in, "And for now, I'm off Twitter. I'll be back with more to say soon. And there is so very much to say. #WomenBoycottTwitter." Sarah Paulson wrote, "I'm with you. And you. And you. And you. Peace. #WomenBoycottTwitter."

Anna Paquin urged, "Also, any men who wish to show their support for .@rosemcgowan and all the other victims please join #WomenBoycottTwitter #boycotttwitter." Billy Eichner stated, "Proudly joining #WomenBoycottTwitter for the next 24 hours even though Instagram doesn't properly capture my tone." Kathy Griffin exclaimed, "Ok ok Jesus, let me clear this up. #WomenBoycottTwitter will not silence us, but @Twitter will make much less $$ b/c of fewer clicks. I'm in."

Rose McGowan herself wrote, "At midnight we RISE." She also posted on Instagram, "Join the #rosearmy as we boycott twitter today in protest of them silencing women’s voices. Do not sign on, tweet, or use the platform. #womenboycotttwitter."
