'Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe,' the 'Night Train' singer writes on Instagram after the Monday massacre.

AceShowbiz - Jason Aldean was performing during the final night of the three-day Route 91 Harvest Festival at the Las Vegas Village when a gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Sunday, October 2. Footage from the concert shows the country music star running offstage as several gunshots rang out.

Following the incident, the star took to Instagram to assure fans that he's okay. "Tonight has been beyond horrific. I still dont know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe," he wrote, adding, "My Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved tonight. It hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night. #heartbroken #stopthehate."

BMG, which acquired his record label Broken Bow Records in January, has also issued a statement to confirm his safety. "BMG today expressed its sadness at events at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas last night (Sunday, October 1) in which at least 50 are reported dead and 400 injured. The shooting occurred during a set by Jason Aldean signed to BMG label Broken Bow Records (BBR). Aldean, his band and crew and two BMG staff members who were attending the festival were all uninjured," the statement read.

BMG CEO Hartwig Masuch also said in the statement, "We are horrified by the events in Las Vegas overnight and relieved to report that all of our people have escaped uninjured. Too many others were not so fortunate. We send our condolences and best wishes to all of those affected by this dreadful act."

Executive Vice President of Broken Bow Records Jon Loba added, "While our artists and staff are safe, our hearts are broken for those listeners in our extended family who just wanted to share a night of great music and the camaraderie that is the hallmark of country music."

Aldean, Jake Owen and Big & Rich were among stars who were booked to perform at the outdoor festival. On Monday evening, officials said at least 59 people were killed and 527 more were injured in the incident, which is now dubbed the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

The country music stars and fans have joined forces to pay tribute to the victims. They held a vigil in Nashville on Monday evening, with Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Amy Grant and Alison Krauss among the stars supporting the event. Urban sang a cover of "Bridge Over Troubled Water", Gill performed "Go Rest High on That Mountain", and his wife Grant led a moment of silence and a prayer.
