While busy filming "Fast and Furious 8", Vin Diesel still spares time to promote his other movie "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage". The hunky actor just took to Instagram to share a new picture from the upcoming action movie, offering a glimpse of his scene with Nina Dobrev.
In the image, the two stand close to each other in a dimly-lit room. Diesel seemingly finds what Dobrev says amusing as he stares at her with a smile on his face. He praised the former "The Vampire Diaries" actress in the caption which read, "@ninadobrev is one of the many talented people that are apart on next years first action film. So proud of the whole xXx team. Xander..."
Diesel will reprise his role as extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage, while Dobrev will portray a character named Rebecca "Becky" Clearidge. Samuel L. Jackson, Ruby Rose, Donnie Yen, Conor McGregor, Deepika Padukone and Tony Jaa also star in the film which is directed by D.J. Caruso.
The story follows Xander who is coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments.
The third "XXX" film is due to arrive in the U.S. on January 20, 2017.
