Blake Shelton couldn't stop gushing about his beloved girlfriend Gwen Stefani. In an interview with Katie Cook on CMT's "Hot 20 Countdown", the country crooner opened up about his relationship with the "Hollaback Girl" singer and he even credited her for saving his life.

Blake explained how he was so glad that he could find a new love in Gwen. "It's not something anybody could've seen coming besides God, I guess, because it doesn't look like it would make sense," he said. "All I can tell you is that it does. It just makes the most perfect sense for us and where we're at in our lives."

He said that his relationship with the mother of three was something that he could never imagine and it saved his life. "I tell people all the time, 'Gwen saved my life last year,' " he continued. "She did, and I think she would probably tell you something similar about me."

Blake said that he and Gwen didn't know each other that well when they started working together during the seventh season of "The Voice". They only exchanged a "high-five" or a "Good to see ya!" that time. "Even coming into [her] second season [working on] 'The Voice', I didn't even really know her that well," he added. "All of a sudden this thing just happened because of some things we were going through and it saved my life, period."

Blake and Gwen started dating back in November after the former split from Miranda Lambert and the latter called it quits with Gavin Rossdale. Since then they have spent time together and collaborated on song called "Go Ahead and Break My Heart".
