AceShowbiz - Trevor Noah underwent emergency appendectomy on Wednesday morning, November 4. Comedy Central said in a statement that today's "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" taping would be canceled as the host recovers from the surgery.

Comedy Central said, "Trevor Noah underwent an emergency appendectomy early this morning. We're happy to report the procedure went well and he is currently recuperating from the surgery. As a result, 'The Daily Show' will air an encore tonight. We expect he and the show will be back with an original episode tomorrow."

While announcing the news on Twitter, the program's Twitter handle jokingly tweeted, "We wish @TrevorNoah a speedy recovery from his time in an American hospital."

Trevor began hosting "The Daily Show", succeeding Jon Stewart, on September 28. In late October, he brought along his new girlfriend Jordyn Taylor to the star-studded premiere of "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" in N.Y.C. on Thursday, Oct. 22.

According to Us Weekly, the 31-year-old comedian and Jordyn met after he moved to N.Y.C. earlier this year to begin his new gig as host of "The Daily Show". Jordyn originally hails from L.A. and reportedly lives with Noah on the Upper West Side.
