After long rumors, it's finally confirmed that Bebop and Rocksteady will indeed be brought to the big screen for "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2". Paramount vice chairman Rob Moore broke the news during a recent visit to CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

Bebop and Rocksteady are mutated warthog and rhino. The beasts are responsible for the shocking death of Donatello in the latest issue of "Ninja Turtles" comic book. It's unclear who will play the two baddies in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" sequel.

The upcoming second movie developed under the working title "Half-Shell" is rumored to be helmed by Dave Green ("Earth to Echo"). Michael Bay returns as a producer, and Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec will write the script once again.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, the first film starred Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and William Fichtner. The four titular turtles, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello, were motion-captured by Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, and Jeremy Howard, while Splinter was played by Danny Woodburn on the set. Different actors Johnny Knoxville voiced Leonardo and Tony Shalhoub voiced Splinter.

Fox and Arnett will return for the sequel which is plotted for June 3, 2016. They will get on-screen love interests played by Stephen Amell and Alessandra Ambrosio.
