Eddie Redmayne wins the Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama trophy, while the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama award goes to Julianne Moore.

AceShowbiz - The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards which took place on Sunday, January 11 just recently concluded. "Boyhood" is the Sunday night's biggest winner in movie, taking home the top prize Best Motion Picture - Drama trophy in addition to two other trophies, Best Director and Supporting Actress. Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy award, meanwhile, went to "The Grand Budapest Hotel".
Eddie Redmayne and Julianne Moore were also among winners. The British actor took home Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama trophy for his performance in Stephen Hawking biopic "The Theory of Everything" while Moore was honored with Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama award for her role as an linguist with Alzheimer's in "Still Alice".
"Getting to spend time with Stephen Hawking...was one of the great honors of my life," Redmayne said onstage. The actor, who recently got married, also thanked his wife in his speech.
Richard Linklater and Michael Keaton were also named winners. Linklater won Best Director for his 12-year project "Boyhood". Speaking onstage, he said, "This is a very personal film for me." He additionally dedicated the trophy to "parents who are just passing through this world and doing their best."
Keaton, meanwhile, won Best Performance in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy award for his performance in "Birdman" and gave a touching speech about loving his son onstage. "Two things I said I wasn't going to do, cry and give air quotes. Damn," he said in front of the audience. "I'm going to thank the Hollywood Foreign Press for even having a comedy category."
The 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards aired live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the event which also honored outstanding works in TV.
