'Dancing with the Stars': Randy Couture Is Eliminated, Two Stars Get Perfect Scores
TV

Randy and Karina Smirnoff are in jeopardy based on last week's votes and scores, while Janel Parrish and Bethany Mota lead the scoreboard this week following their flawless dances.

AceShowbiz - "Dancing with the Stars" returned with the 11 remaining couples on Monday, September 29. As head judge Len Goodman is in England, actor Kevin Hart filled in for him in this "Movie Night"-themed episode. All pairs danced, but one of them would be eliminated based on last week's scores and votes.

Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff were announced in jeopardy and they danced first. The pair danced a paso doble to the theme song from "Rocky". Julianne Hough criticized Randy, "What happened to that strong leading man from week one? It was lacking strength and charm." Bruno Tonioli said "the timing was behind," while Carrie Ann Inaba thought Randy had worked on the intensity but needed "more finesse though." Kevin praised the fact that Randy embraced it. The ex-UFC fighter earned 26 out of 40 points.

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson danced a quickstep to the theme song from "Austin Powers". Bruno said Alfonso had "such a strong individual style." Carrie Ann weighed in, "I am so impressed with you. You are like the hip hop guy but there was no bounce in your step." Julianne thought the two did "a good job together," while Kevin gushed, "You murdered that brother." Alfonso got 32 points.

Betsey Johnson once again inserted a split in her routine with Tony Dovolani, this time dancing a contemporary to the "Ghost" movie theme song. Carrie Ann said, "You have beautiful extension, but you have to point your toes more." Kevin said the 72-year-old fashion designer "dropped it like it was hot." Julianne and Bruno, meanwhile, praised her flexibility. Betsey earned 29 points.

Next, Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev danced a cha-cha inspired by the "Back to the Future" prom. It was fun but shaky. Julianne gave a mixed review, "I was so bumed that your hand slipped, but you were versatile and it was so appropriate." Bruno liked her power, but Carrie Ann honestly said, "This was not your best dance at all, your head was too far forward." The actress earned 31 points.

Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater danced a waltz to "Everything I Do" from "Robin Hood" movie. The judges noticed there was improvement as Julianne said, "That was your best dance ever. I want to point out that that was so technical, it was the best." Bruno added, "You really worked very hard, it showed," and Kevin chimed in, "I believe hard work pays off." The race car driver earned 28 points.

Antonio Sabato Jr. and Cheryl Burke were in jeopardy. They danced a foxtrot to "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" from recent hit movie "Guardians of the Galaxy". "You turned on the fun factor," Bruno said. Carrie Ann thought he was "stiff in places that are a little strange" and advised him to breathe. Kevin didn't agree with Carrie Ann and said, "You did good." Antonio earned 29 points.

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas danced the Viennese waltz to theme song of animated movie "Up". Carrie Ann dubbed it the best dance tonight so far, while Kevin found it "flawless." Bruno "was totally charmed," but Julianne thought the "Duck Dynasty" star still needed to work on her arms to make them "loosey goosey." Sadie earned 32 points.

Jonathan Bennett and Allison Holker were the third pair in jeopardy, but their tango to the theme song from "The Great Gatsby" was among the best dances of the night. Julianne and Bruno admitted it was hard but Jonathan did a good job. Carrie Ann added, "We are here to encourage you to be the best that you can be, you did that." The actor earned 32 points.

Janel Parrish showed perfection during her jazz with Val Chmerkovskiy. "I thought I was watching a Broadway show, that was hands down perfecto," Julianne said of the "West Side Story"-themed dance. Bruno exclaimed, "Bravo, bravo!" Carrie Ann was also full of praises, saying, "That was insane, you give good everything," and Kevin added, "I bow down to that performance, it was amazing." The actress earned 40 out of 40 points.

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd danced a tango to the theme song from "Scent of a Woman". Bruno liked that it was "sensual, languid," Carrie Ann said she was "in awe," and Kevin gushed, "You killed it." Julianne called it "flawless." The comedian earned 34 points.

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough earned the second perfect score of the night and of the season. "Mission complete, that was incredibly amazing," Carrie Ann said after their jazz to "Singing in the Rain" theme song, but it was Derek who got the spotlight for his choreography that paid tribute to Gene Kelly. Julianne gushed about her brother, "I know the wrath of Derek, you did not miss a step, you became a woman."

After the performances, it's time for the elimination. Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff who were in jeopardy were axed. "It's been a great experience, putting myself out there and trying something new," Randy said.

Next week's theme is the Most Memorable Year.
