There's no a day off for "The X Factor (US)" judges and contestants on Thanksgiving as they returned for a results show on Thursday, November 28. In the latest episode, they trimmed down the number of contestants to 6.

Lillie McCloud was sent packing right away based on viewers' votes following her performance of "Summertime", which wasn't so special, on Monday night. Rion Paige and Josh Levi then faced off in the final showdown.

Rion picked Pink's "F***in' Perfect" for his "save me" song, but the performance didn't show the best of her vocal. When host Mario Lopez asked Paulina Rubio to introduce her contestant Josh, she called him Carlito Olivero. The name flub aside, Josh sang Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man".

The judges were divided between the two and it ended with a tie as Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell decided to send home Josh, while Paulina and Kelly Rowland chose to vote off Rion. The decision went back to viewers' votes and it turned out that Josh got lower votes than Rion, so he was eliminated.

Before the eliminations, Josh told HollywoodLife.com that it "would be the best Thanksgiving ever" if all 8 finalists stayed on the show on the holiday episode. "That would be great!" he said.

Making musical performances that night were judge Demi with her live rendition of "Neon Lights" and guest mentor Michael Buble who sang "It's a Beautiful Day".
