During the ceremony, crystal milestone awards were also handed to Taylor Swift and Jennifer Nettles. Taylor got the prize for the impressive sale of her second studio album "Fearless". She said, "I did not know this was going to happen actually." She concluded by thanking her label "for letting be [herself] and writing [her] own songs."

As for Jennifer, she received the special award for for being the first female artist to pen an ACM best song since Donna Fargo in 1972. To the audience, Jennifer shared, "As a little girl, I dreamed of writing songs, Live your dreams."

The 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards was held at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, April 5. Julianne Hough, Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts were among the winners of the event.
