Highly awaited nominations of 50th Grammy Awards are unearthed with Kanye West leading the pack at eight nods followed by Amy Winehouse at a whooping six and Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Timbaland and T-Pain at five each.
The big nominee, West, is competing for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album for 'Graduation', Best Rap Solo Performance for 'Stronger', Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group both for his collaboration with Common in 'Southside' and his work with Nas and KRS-One in 'Better Than I've Ever Been', Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for 'Good Life' feat. T-Pain and Best Rap Song for both ' Can't Tell Me Nothing' and 'Good Life'.
Receiving 4 gongs each would be Akon, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, DAUGHTRY, Feist, Tim McGraw, John Newton, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, and Bruce Springsteen. While many predicts that this year's nominees announcers, Fergie and Taylor Swift, will get a lot, they in fact take one each but more interestingly, Linkin Park get none.
The ceremony to hand out the gramophones will be held at Los Angeles' Staples Center on February 10. CBS will broadcast it live at 8 P.M. ET/PT.
