Rod Wave once again entered the Billboard 200 chart with his new offering. The emcee debuted at No. 9 on the list after releasing an eight-song EP called "Jupiter's Diary: 7 Day Theory" on November 18.

The project landed on the chart after earning nearly 31,000 equivalent album units (dated December 3). It marks the Florida artist's fifth consecutive and total top 10-charting album following 2022's "Beautiful Mind" and 2021's "SoulFly".

Meanwhile, the new album's lead single, "Break My Heart", jumped from No. 91 to No. 76 on this week's Billboard Hot 100 chart. Its follow-up "Got It Right" also made an entry at No. 95.

"Jupiter's Diary: 7 Day Theory" arrived just three months after Rod dropped "Beautiful Mind" in August. The project, which features guest appearances from Jack Harlow and December Joy, topped the Billboard 200 albums chart after earning 115,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending August 18, according to Luminate.

The "Rags2Riches" spitter previously declared that "Beautiful Mind" would be his "last sad a** album." He wrote in June, "On my baby's, dis my last sad a** album... I'm off dat, jus wanna live happy, travel, get dis money."

Last December, Rod sparked concerns among fans after releasing a melancholy track called "Nirvana" and deactivated his Instagram account shortly after. Many assumed that it was an elaborate suicide note as he raps, "If you're hearing this it's too late/ I've been writin' this since Tuesday, today Friday that mean tomorrow's doomsday."

"Tried to fight the pain but it ate me alive/ Sad to say I lost a battle, against my mind/ You should be happy for me homie no more sufferin'," he continues. "We all got a day I guess we'll see each other then/ I hope that heaven's real and one day we can reunite/ And don't be crying for me I lived a wonderful life."

It did not take long for Rod to log back into his account though. Apologizing to his fans, he penned, "Sorry for da scare …. im super good … Happy asf working on my new album….. love y'all fasho... Dat was definitely suicide PREVNTION song."
