A buyer closely inspects a large, flawless diamond handed to him by Warner Kaminsky. The buyer complements Kaminsky on his impeccable work. Kaminsky asks if they have a deal, and the buyer puts a briefcase of cash on the table. Kaminsky its contents a little short and confronts the buyer, who proceeds to arrogantly tell Kaminsky he can take the offer or eat it. As the buyer turns to leave with the briefcase, a large bodyguard knocks him onto the table and holds him down. Kaminsky drops one of the diamonds into the man's mouth. Seconds later, the man is dead.

The Blooms are enjoying breakfast when they're interrupted by a series of phone calls from Leo. They ignore the first one, thinking he's just calling to brag about his vacation in Mexico City again. Samantha reluctantly answers the second call. Leo tells her something's wrong; he thinks he's been drugged and needs help. They hesitate at first, thinking Leo's probably just drunk, but then it becomes obvious something's actually wrong. Leo doesn't know where he is. The only description he can give them is that it sounds as if there is a stampede outside, and that he sees an angel outside the window. Leo passes out and drops the phone. Samantha calls back. When Leo doesn't answer, the couple decides to go to Mexico City to help him.

Once in Mexico City, Samantha and Steven meet up with Hoyt, who has managed to triangulate Leo's position to a three-block radius. They decide not to tell Shaw about their rescue mission, and drive around in search of Leo. They come upon an Aztec drum circle - the beat of the drums might be the stampede Leo was talking about. Samantha spots a nearby billboard featuring a woman that might seem like an angel from the right angle. Now that they have the stampede and the angel, the team pinpoints the most likely hotel where Leo could be. They break into his room and find him passed out on the couch with a bottle of alcohol lying nearby. Samantha wakes up Leo, who's dumbfounded, with no recollection of ever calling her. It seems like the team came to Mexico City for nothing but a typical Leo bender until Steven finds trouble: a young woman, laying dead on the hotel room's floor.

Leo tells the team he has no recollection of anything that happened in the past 24 hours, including the dead girl, who appears to have been strangled. Leo insists he didn't kill her. Hoyt searches the room and finds some unusual things: a tiger mask, an unidentifiable car key, and a small dog hiding under the bed. Steven calls in a favor with a retrieval crew that agrees to secretly pick up the body of the young woman. The toxic screen reports that Leo's blood is clean of any drugs. If there was a drug in his system, it's now entirely out of his body. The team is left with just the mask, the car key, and the dog. As they sit and think, Hoyt opens up a local newspaper. The headline reads "Bank Robbed by Tiger Man," and features a photo of a man wearing a tiger mask. The man in the photo could easily be Leo and matches the tiger mask found in his hotel room.

Meanwhile back in the U.S., Shaw shows up at Bloom Catering looking for Samantha and Steven. Lizzy reports that she thought they were in San Francisco with him. Unaware of the Blooms' whereabouts, Shaw awkwardly goes along with their cover story and leaves abruptly. Suspicious, Lizzy calls her sister to check in. Samantha tells Lizzy they're helping Leo after a bender, and asks her not to tell anyone they spoke. She hangs up and informs the team that Shaw knows they're gone and now they're accessories to Leo's mess. Steven and Samantha proceed to the bank where the robbery took place, going in undercover as insurance adjusters. The only thing stolen from the vault was the contents of one safe deposit box that was initially opened under an alias, leaving them no clues. The box has a strong ammonia smell, leading police to think an ammonia-based explosive was used to break into it. The cops believe that the bank's manager, Marcos, let the tiger robber into the vault. Marcos is nowhere to be found, and has presumably fled the country.

The team drives to Marco's house. Before they go in, Leo thanks Steven and for their help. The Blooms insist that they're in this together, then enter the house to discover a condensation ring on a table, presumably from a cold glass, revealing that someone just left. Maybe Marcos didn't leave the country after all? Steven notices a painting that's off center, clearly out of place in this meticulous home. He takes the painting off the wall to reveal a keypad. Samantha cracks the code and opens a secret door to a panic room, where they find a terrified Marcos, who informs them that his beautiful Claudia has been kidnapped. Even though Marcos' key was used in the bank robbery, he had nothing to do with it. He was hiding because the man who kidnapped Claudia told him he was coming back. The Blooms ask Marcos to describe Claudia, wondering if she's the dead woman from Leo's hotel room. Marcos pulls out his phone and shows them a picture of Claudia - she's the dog, not the dead woman.

Marcos explains that a man and woman surprised him in his driveway, demanded his bank key, and then took off in his car with the dog. Marcos and his dog Claudia are reunited. The keys found in Leo's hotel room unlock a car; if Leo is indeed the tiger robber, he may have stolen an Aston Martin too. The car is registered to Larry Martin, an American businessman who runs a brothel named Larry's Lair. The team decides to go to the brothel to find out how and why Leo took the car. Back at the diamond factory, Kaminsky calls a man named Mr. Rodriguez to confirm that he has the money and the deal is complete. Meanwhile, Shaw returns to Bloom Catering to ask Lizzy if she's heard from the Blooms - she hasn't. Thinking that Shaw is a hotel manager, Lizzy asks him to watch the kitchen for 30 minutes while she runs an errand. He agrees, but only because of the possibility that Samantha and Steven might call to check in.

Steven and Samantha arrive at the brothel in search of the Larry. However the mission gets a little more complicated as Larry turns out to be Barry, a man that Steven knows from a past mission. Steven informs a confused Samantha to follow his lead and Steven, or as Larry knows him, Cristos, greets his old friend. Larry brings the couple into his office for drinks and explains he had to change his name to Larry and move to Mexico City because too many people were looking for him. From their interaction, it's clear that Steven's alias Cristo was a true playboy. Steven explains he's in town for the usual business, and heard that something bad went down last night at Larry's brothel. Larry explains that a man went up to Room 3 with one of his girls named Oksana, and the next thing he knew, his Aston Martin was gone along with the girl. Larry shows Steven a picture of Oksana, who's unmistakably the dead girl from Leo's hotel room. Larry offers service with one of his ladies before they leave. Samantha agrees, saying they want a girl and Room 3. Once inside, Samantha confronts Steven about his Cristo days. Steven brushes off the inquiries and they search the room for clues. Steven finds a hotel napkin with a bluish stain that has Oksana's name and address written on it. Samantha recognizes the hotel on the napkin; she and Leo have stayed there many times.

Now at the hotel, Steven and Samantha hit the pool deck in search of anyone who might have seen Leo. Meanwhile, one cabana boy pays suspiciously close attention to them. When they approach the boy he drops his tray and bolts. Steven and Samantha chase him through the streets. Steven eventually catches up to him and demands information. The boy explains that he was serving Leo a drink when Leo recognized him as a former smuggler. Leo demanded the boy tell him about an upcoming deal in exchange for letting him go. European arms dealer, Warner Kaminsky, is in town for a huge diamond deal with one of the cartels that's going down within the next 24 hours. The boy knew Kaminsky had a thing for a prostitute in town, so he gave Leo her address. Steven and Samantha let the boy go and review their information. Leo must have heard about the diamond deal and tried to stop it on his own. Whatever was in that safety deposit box almost got Leo killed, and was most likely diamonds. They realize Leo must have stashed them in his hotel room.

Lizzy returns to Bloom Catering to find Shaw has made himself at home in the kitchen. He receives a phone call from a mystery man who asks whether he found the Blooms. The man informs Shaw that he has word Steven ordered a body removal crew to Mexico City, and orders Shaw to stay on top of the Blooms' activities. Back at the safe house, Leo begins to put together the pieces of what he might have done, realizing that whatever he stole is most likely in the hotel room. Hoyt tries to keep him from leaving, but Leo refuses to listen. Steven and Samantha enter the hotel room to find Leo and Hoyt are already there. As Steven and Samantha begin to explain what they learned, an unhappy Shaw enters. Steven and Samantha explain to Shaw, Hoyt and Leo what actually happened. Leo was on a one-man mission to take down Kaminsky. That led him to kidnap a prostitute, steal an Aston Martin, hold a bank manager's dog hostage, and rob a safety deposit box. Whether or not the ridiculous story is true doesn't matter; they need to figure out what was in the box and why the woman died before the Mexican police arrive.

Steven remembers that the safety deposit box had a strange odor that made him feel light-headed; could the box have been filled with some type of poison? Shaw points out that the dead fish in the aquarium seem to point to that conclusion as well. Further inspection reveals the diamonds, lying on the bottom of the fish tank. Whatever was on those diamonds likely killed the fish and Oksana. Leo has a sudden flashback of what happened. He took one diamond out of bag and started feeling dizzy, so he went to the bathroom to wash up. When he returned, he found Oksana passed out on the floor with all of the diamonds in her hand. He went to check on her but began to feel like he was going to pass out, so he scooped up the diamonds in a towel, dropped them in the fish tank and passed out. Steven realizes that they might not be diamonds after all, but crystallized toxin cut to look like diamonds.

The toxicology report on Oksana confirms her cause of death as poisoning from the highly lethal toxin, which causes violent asphyxiation and the appearance of strangulation. The Blooms need to find Kaminsky's diamond plant and stop the shipment immediately. Shaw calls in diamond expert Majek, who reveals that there are two plants in the world capable of such work. Only one is currently still in use, meaning Kaminsky must be cutting his toxic diamonds in Antwerp, Belgium.

Now in Belgium, the team hijacks a van and gains access to the diamond factory's garage. Leo shoots the worker as he opens the door, and the team infiltrates the factory. Samantha and Leo go in search of Kaminsky, while Hoyt and Steven search for the toxic diamonds. As Steven and Hoyt are met with heavy fire, Samantha and Leo find Kaminsky, just as he deletes the entire contents of his hard drive. Steven and Hoyt finally make it to the stock room, only to find that the shipment has already left.

Samantha and Steven proceed to interrogate Kaminsky about where the toxic diamonds are headed while Hoyt attempts to track the shipment vans. Samantha dangles what Kaminsky presumes is one of his toxic diamonds over his mouth until he finally complies. He gives them the address of where the shipment is headed only to find out he's been duped; Samantha was threatening him with a real diamond. Back at Bloom Catering, Shaw congratulates the team on another job well done. Leo stops to say hi to Lizzy on the way out. She gives him a hug and invites him to a meeting. Leo agrees, only to learn that he's agreed to attend an AA meeting with her.
