Mike makes it clear he doesn't even want to be friends with Susan anymore after she finds the Valentine's Day card she made him among her possessions he's returned.

Karl, Susan's ex-husband, shows back up on her doorstep after he breaks up with Edie. Julie's away, so the two reminisce over a bottle of wine. Karl confesses Edie dumped him after discovering a photo he still kept of Susan. Moved by this admission -- and all that wine -- Susan ends up in bed with him. As Julie discovers to her horror the next morning, when she finds them in bed together. Susan tells Karl the sex was amazing, but when he says he wants to start things up again, she firmly tells him that she wants to move forward, not backward, and a reunion with him just isn't going to happen.

Edie shows up the next day to thank her for whatever she said to Karl to make him come back with flowers and an apology. When Susan seems less than thrilled about their getting back together, Edie gloats that Karl has chosen her, not Susan.

Lynette and Tom are thrilled when the Harpers, a new couple in the neighborhood who also have rambunctious twin boys, agree to a playdate, since Porter and Preston have scared away all the other neighborhood children. Things go swimmingly until the video the Harper boys brought over to watch on their playdate turns out to be a sex video their parents made! When Lynette hands the video back, Mrs. Harper is so embarrassed, she breaks off all contact with the Scavos.

Desperate to hang onto the only friends who can stand up to her boys, Lynette and Tom go over to the Harpers to assure them that they're very broadminded about the whole incident. But when they offer the Scavos the use of their boudoir film set, Lynette and Tom are suddenly fine with no more playdates.

George surprises Bree by blindfolding her and showing her the new house he's just bought - which he hopes she'll move into with him. He then springs his mother on her, and a ring! Flustered with his mother looking on, Bree reluctantly says yes. Later, her psychiatrist, Dr. Goldfine, advises her not to marry George just to be polite, since she doesn't really love him.

George insists on showing her off to "a few friends," which ends up including all his relatives, who start familiarly talking about the kids she's going to have with George now. It's the last straw for Bree, who walks out. She tells George she's having second thoughts, and that Dr. Goldfine advised her to wait. He agrees to slow things down. Instead, he simply eliminates Dr. Goldfine by catching him during his morning jog and throwing him off a bridge!

Betty and Matthew are alarmed when Caleb escapes from the basement, and discreetly start looking for him around the neighborhood, which leads to Matthew asking Danielle out on a date to explain what he was doing in her backyard.

Gabrielle remains ambivalent about her pregnancy -- she's been using her sonogram as a coaster -- especially when some of her old modeling pals come to town. She's hellbent on wearing her "double zero" size Dolce & Gabbana dress that's actually too tight on her now, because she doesn't want to be the suburban hausfrau her old friends had scornfully predicted she'd become. After a night with them however, she confesses to Bree that she's changed since her modeling days and seems to be warming to the idea of motherhood.

Back at home, she hears a noise and runs in terror when she sees a strange man - none other than Caleb - in her house. She trips and falls down the stairs, and the stranger flees. As she's led away in an ambulance, she gazes sadly at the sonogram.
