The bodies of two seemingly unrelated victims are found just hours apart, having been dragged to their deaths behind cars in San Diego and Los Angeles respectively. While it initially seems like the work of a single spree killer, the BAU uncovers evidence that two separate UnSubs may have conspired to commit the murders on the same night. When Garcia learns that both victims had contributed to the death of a child and had gotten light court sentences, the team suspects that they are after two vigilantes with a personal connection to their victims - and they might not be done.
