The 'Taki Taki' singer roasts the Spanish retired soccer player while congratulating the 'Whenever, Wherever' songstress, whom he dubs a 'goddess,' on her new album.

AceShowbiz - It's been almost two years since Shakira and Gerard Pique called it quits over his alleged infidelity, but people seemingly still can't forgive him. The former professional soccer player has been roasted online after Ozuna mocked him on his social media post.

On Friday, March 22, the Puerto Rican artist took to his Instagram page to celebrate the release of Shakira's new album "Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran". While singing praise for the Colombian singer whom he dubbed a "goddess," Ozuna reminded Gerard what he has been missing.

"I don't know what Pique was thinking. look at this goddess @shakira," the "Taki Taki" hitmaker wrote alongside a picture of him with the "Underneath Your Clothes" songstress. He added, "CONGRATULATIONS MY SHAK."

Many people echoed the sentiment as a user wrote underneath the photo, "IT HAD TO BE SAID AND IT WAS SAID!" Another replied in the comments section, "The whole world wonders the same thing, but the reality is she's much better off without him!!"

"I mean he's not wrong tbh she's on fire," a third responded to Ozuna's diss at Gerard. A fourth fan also agreed with the 32-year-old star as writing, "He's so real for that." Someone else added, "Pique been dissed by everyone on the planet at this point ... deserved."

Shakira and Gerard announced in a joint statement in June 2022 that they were separating after being together for 11 years. The former pair share two sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9, who have been living in the U.S. with their mother following her split from her former longtime partner.

Recently, Shakira revealed that she put her career on hold for many years to be with Gerard and support his soccer career. "For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play soccer," the 47-year-old said. She added that "there was a lot of sacrifice for love."
